Felix stamped his hooves and fidgeted when the mare moved into the trot. Andrea turned him in a tight circle to keep his attention. As soon as he was relatively still, she watched the other pair carefully. When she saw Hadley grinning, she grinned, too. "That was her first time? You could have fooled me! Man, she isn't scared to jump at all, is she?" Felix nickered impatiently. "I love a fearless horse." Andrea said, ignoring him. He'd have his turn soon enough.
A smile spread across Hadley's lips and she reached down to scratch the big mare's neck as she walked her back towards Andrea.
"She's not," she said with a small giggle. "I feel like it won't matter what I point her at. I'd like to give her a go on a cross country course, but I know I should probably just trail ride her a few times, first. With how hot she can get. Those cross country fences don't come down if she hits one." Cross country was something Hadley had been wanting to try for a long time, but where she and her mom lived, they just didn't have the room to create a course.

Andrea nodded, grinning ear to ear. "Yeah, it's a little harder that way. I think she'd be good at it, though. Felix seems excited to start it, too." she leaned forward in the saddle and patted his neck affectionately. "Hey, how about we work on it together? We can look out for each other, if you want." She knew that some riders were only in it for the competition, but she really wanted to help people.
