Libby couldn't help but laugh at the glare she was given. Please? If he thought that that was going to intimidate her, he needed to attend a few meets with her, and learn about intimidating looks. When she had first started riding, she learned that the venom coming from one rider to another didn't even come close to what she faced in the gym, which is why riding became such a good way to escape the pressures of the gym.
She shrugged as he spoke of his sister. "I'm sure she does." She replied. "Riding is great for a good way to pass time, but it's not like it's going to take me anywhere." She smirked as she asked Storm to extend his stride a little, let Chase put that in his pipe and smoke it!

He huffed. The conversation was getting irritating. He was forcing himself to be polite, and yes, sometimes you'd have to do that, but he could, in theory, ride right out of the arena and go for a short trail ride. Or just move to a different arena.
But, of course, he noticed her smirk. He noticed the extended walk. A challenge? She didn't know the fight she was picking.
"Trotting the inside track again. Watch out." Okay, there might have been some sarcasm in that last part. He didn't care either way. After he passed the girl and her "fancy" horse, he asked Babe to do something he liked to do, especially in a Pas de Deux. "Half pass to P."
He knew he could rely on Babe. She took it all in stride, with no idea that the riders were trying to one-up each other.

She gave another smirk, as it seemed that the conversation was a little too much for the boy as she kept Storm at a walk, trying to work out what she actually wanted to be doing with him, rather than just plodding around, and she wasn't in the mood for a battle of the dressage rider, she was above that! After all, her powers lay outside the arena when she was on the ground.
She rolled her eyes at his sarcastic warning, and then glared at his next words. "You do realise that we have an arena here that's designed for dressage riders, so that you're not hogging the entire arena, when this one is designed to be shared?" She shook her head as she made up her mind on what she wanted to do. She'd take Storm out on the trails, really give him a chance to let loose. "Since you obviously want the arena to yourself, we'll leave you and your beast be." She flashed him a smile. "Catch you on the flip-side." With a nod she swung out of the saddle and led the gelding out, knowing that she would need to head back to the barn for her back protector before she went on the trails.

He waited until she was out of the arena to heave a sigh of relief. He brought Babe to a halt and she tongued the bit. Checking one last time to make sure she was gone, he leaned forward and patted Babe's neck. "I sure hope we don't run into them again." he said.
