Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Dear Mutter und Vater. How are you? I'm doing ok here. It is quite different from Germany and takes some getting used to. I am doing well in all of my classes and my teachers are nice. My foreign language is German. It is going to be an easy A. I have not meet many of my classmates yet except in classes. I have been busy doing homework, studying and riding. Blue Ridge has Academy horses for students to use if they don't have their own horse. My mare' s name is Fallon. She is the sweetest thing. She has very smooth gaits. The Academy as it turns out has auctions every few months or so. I hope to get enough money to buy my own horse like you have said I had to do.
I find it very different here in America. It is such a hassle to have to spell out my name if someone has to put it on a group paper or project. I miss Germany but I like it here. I m going to stay here at the Academy over Christmas break. I would not like to intrude on Aunt Pia,Uncle Stephan and Ada. It was so nice of them to let me stay there for a few days to get used to America. It was hard to believe I haven't been in America since I was 8.
Anyways I am writing to tell you that I hope this letter will get to you before Christmas. I hope you have a blessed Christmas. I have enclosed your Christmas presents and will send them soon. Don't open them before Christmas. You guys can send them back if you don't like them. Also when you write me back can you send me Katrina and Annemarie' s numbers? Thank you.
