Cortney stepped out of her small, but very pink, car from where she had parked it in the lot behind the Livery. Walking into the building, she passed all the shops, following her sensed toward the small, yet quite popular, coffee shop. She stood at the counter and smiled at the barista before she turned her attention to the drinks menu. "Can I please have a cinnamon dolce latte and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin." It amused her all the different things they brought out for each holiday season, and she enjoyed sampling what they had to offer when she had the chance. Her smile deepened as she took the number she was given and went to find a seat at a table next to the window. It was took chilly to sit outside, but that didn't mean she was going to hide herself in the middle of the shop either.
She placed the number on the table before she opened her small messenger bag and pulled out the latest novel she was reading; Hidden, book one in the Bone Secrets series, by Kendra Elliot. She didn't know what had made her pick the book up the last time she had been in Portable Magic, but for some reason she had and not one to question her gut, she had purchased the book and taken it home. Only now was she finding the time to start reading it.
She jumped as the saucer and plate were placed on the table in front of her, the number taken away. With a shake of her head, she scooped some of the whipped cream off the top of her drink with the spoon and brought it to her mouth.

Lacey Campbell stared across the haxy fiel of snow at the big tent pitched against the rundown apartment building. She inhaled a breath of icy air, letting it fill her lungs and strengthen her resolve.Cortney shivered as she read the start of the book, and it was only the first paragraph.
There, That's where the body is...
