Date of Birth>> April 1st, 1984

Personality>> Ellis is quite a nervous person. He's cautious, overthinks everything and becomes riddled with anxiety as soon as something doesn't go the way he hoped it would. He tends to avoid social situations if he can, has an extremely hard time starting conversations and blushes as red as a tomato whenever faced with an interaction with the opposite sex. He has always been the same.
Ellis is an intelligent man, he's well read and enjoys to learn new things all the time. He enjoyed every minute of his many years in school training to become a vet specializing in equine dentistry. He graduated top of his class and is always taking courses to further his education. He has a thirst for knowledge. He also loves to learn different activities - martial arts, painting, he's even a recreational pilot. He's not the type to force it on someone either - mostly because he tries to avoid all social interactions if possible - and appears mostly unassuming. He will search for complicated cases and is regarded as one of the best dental veterinarians in America and the UK - where he is from. But he doesn't let on. He won't present his knowledge at seminars - he would rather jump into an active volcano - but will have someone do it on his behalf.
Ellis is a self admitted nerd too. He uses video games to relax and loves comic books. Yes, he collects them. He obsesses over TV shows and movies, and he'll go online to discuss them too. It's also one of the only things he's ever tempted to discuss in person. He does it rarely, but when he does he actually lights up and becomes animated.
Ellis does come alive somewhat when showing his dog - Toad. It gives him confidence, and he even has a small circle of friends he willingly socializes with while there. He does well, Toad does well, and he's truly happy in this world. Here he's able to chat, he's able to joke and he actually loves the people around him. He's like a different person. He likes this person. Maybe one day he can transfer it to his every day life.

Appearance>> Ellis is extremely handsome. He doesn't know it, but females definitely do. He has warm, dark brown eyes, short - well styled light brown hair and a permanent stubble on his chin. His defined cheekbones and full lips make him even more desirable. He's 6'5, well muscled which he maintains with regular workouts and active hobbies.
A downfall of Ellis's is that he's not very stylish. He's usually in well worn, stained jeans and an old t-shirt or sweater and his steel toe capped boots or sneakers. He doesn't care for clothing and hates shopping - he comes out in a cold sweat just thinking about it. His mother usually does his shopping for him, and mother's always know best. That's what he tells himself, anyway.
Markings>> A pretty gnarly scar on his lower left arm where a horse took a chunk out of him when working - the stitching was not completed well and the scar healed extremely jagged and uneven. He also has a scar on the top of his right foot from a surgery.
Medical History>> Stitches for before mentioned bite. Was hospitalized with measles at 10 years old, had his tonsils out at 13. He also had to have surgery on his right foot when working with a horse who came around during surgery, freaked and crushed his foot. He walks with a minor limp and has a scar on top from the surgery.
Full History>> Ellis was born on a warm spring day in London, United Kingdom. He was born to Chloe Leyshon - Professor of Biology at the Univerity of London and Henry Leyson - esteemed murder mystery author. Ellis knew a comfortable life, he never needed for much but was raised with good morals and under strict rules. He had a younger sister, three years younger, and his home life was mostly comfortable. Unless his father drank too much - then things would get uncomfortable for a while. While his father was not abusive, he became lifeless and depressed when drinking. His mother, sister or himself couldn't pull him out of it. Then his father would be good for a while, usually when he'd finished a book and it was selling well, and things would return to normal. Then they'd cycle through again.
Ellis's school career was a bit of a nightmare. He was bullied - he understood why, he was a shy, awkward nerd after all. But he did well, excelling in all classes because all he really did was study. He went onto University, studying to become an Equine Veterinarian Dentist. He graduated top of his class, worked for a few years around the UK and established his name. He then emigrated to the USA - Kentucky - when scouted by a state of the art facility. This was four years ago. He did well but more and more pressure was placed upon him to present his work at conferences by the facility. Not someone doing it for him - he had to do it. The pressure got to much about 3 months ago - he quit.
Ellis got into showing dogs at a young age. His grandmother had always done it - she'd shown many different breeds but her favourites had always been Afghan Hounds and Greyhounds. Naturally, Ellis picked up the same preferences. She groomed him to take over her legacy - Margret Leyshon is well known in the dog world - and that he did. His grandmother officially retired five years ago and he's doing her legacy proud.
Ellis doesn't have too much to do with his family since moving to the USA. He calls regularly to speak to his mother and sister as well as his remaining grandparents. He does not talk to his father though. His parents divorced when Ellis was 18, and Ellis had decided that it was for the best. His father moved on immediately, he has since remarried twice. His mother suspected that he had cheated during their marriage but it was never admitted to. Ellis does not return for holidays - his mother and sister visit him instead. He prefers it this way.
Since quitting his job, Ellis had not been in a hurry to find another. He did stumble across an ad for a position at a school one day - at Blue Ridge - and decided to apply. This was about a month ago. He got the job and is now dreading the moving into a new place and the social aspects of everything but he thinks this will be a good change. Less pressure. He's looking forward to it. Kind of.
Pet Name>> Toad
Registered Name>> Loads of Toads
Age>> 6
Sex>> Male
Species>> Canine
Breed>> Afghan Hound
Registry>> AKC & KC dual registry
Personality>> Toad is a regal beast and very, very prissy. He loves to be clean and enjoys to be groomed. He mostly keeps to himself, not too interested in human interaction and completely indifferent to other animals. He does enjoy Ellis's company, however, and stays close to his master as much as possible. He's a very athletic beast, he'll keep up no problem while running with Ellis and has competed in agility competitions for many years. He does love to show off in the ring, too. He struts, stacks himself and loves the praise and adoration he gets. Ellis loves this beast, and Toad loves his master. Even if he doesn't always show it.
History>> Ellis had Toad picked out a year before he was born. He'd been showing dogs for many years - Greyhounds and Afghan Hounds - and knew that he would remain loyal to the previous breeder. He knew Toad would be his the moment he saw the adorable little pup and brought him home as soon as he was ready. His other dogs have since passed, but Toad grew up attending shows and was on and off the grooming table since he was born. He thrives in the show environment and loves to be seen. He and Ellis have done well in each show they have ever competed in and the next goal is Westminster. They hope to qualify this year - fingers crossed!
