Andie nodded, as there were a number of riders on campus who would be able to handle Quill. She laughed at the thought of him catching someone's eye. "Yeah, there's always the option of having baby Quill's." She said with a shrug, as Quill making money for her had always been an option, but she had never seen the need to use it before.
She laughed at Ráhel's reaction to the gelding's flirting before she smacked the horse on the neck to get him to cut his posturing out and nodded as he walked nicely again. "I'm just waiting for the day he tries to flirt and the mare takes offence to it and takes a piece out of him for his troubles."

Rahel laughed at that vision, "He would probably respond that scars make him look even better." It worked in some movies to give men a rakish look. "But yes, there are a few mares who might take offense to him. Luckily, Kaitain's not that sort. Ready for some more speed?" She had no issues talking to Andie, who was a pleasant companion, but Kaitain was not the fan of the sustained walk.

Andie laughed and nodded, the gelding would indeed wear scars like a badge of honour, and show them off. "Oh yes, I feel the need for speed!" She said with a grin as she sat up a little more, taking up the reins, shaking her head and half-halting the gelding as he understood what was about to happen.

Rahel met the other woman's grin as she gave Kaitain her head, letting the mare jump straight into a canter. They'd spent plenty of time walking, she wasn't too worried about warming up or the mare being cold still. She kept a light contact with the mare, to make sure she didn't get any crazy ideas about going off-trail or careening into their companion.

Andie grinned as she loosened the reins and allowed Quill to jump straight into a canter, keeping enough contact so that the gelding didn't get any ideas about this being a race and breaking into a gallop. She used her inside leg to keep the Hanoverian running straight, making sure that he didn't get in the way of the other horse's stride.

Rahel enjoyed the feeling of Kaitain running under her, muscles working. The mare seemed to revel in it as well, and while she might not have quite the speed of the taller horse, Rahel knew she'd keep going - And going some more. So she let the mare run, strongly resisting the urge to utter a whoop of enjoyment - That was rather more appropriate for the students.

Andie, while tempted to let Quill keep going and letting him pick the speed, she began to take back control and slowed the gelding as the path the were on began to narrow, the surface underfoot changed slightly. "That was fun!" She said with a grin. "Did she even break a sweat?" She glanced at the other horse as she stood in her stirrups and leaned back as she tried to keep control of Quill, who was now tossing his head in every direction.
"Sorry, I obviously don't get him out as much as he thinks I should." She apologised as she sat deep, brought his nose to knee and circled him until he had settled.

As the path narrowed, Rahel started slowing Kaitain down, bringing her back to a walk, pleased that the mare settled after only a small fuss about continuing. At Andie's question, which was quite the compliment, Rahel chuckled, "Maybe the tiniest bit, but the conditioning seems to have had some effect." She patted the mare's neck affectionately, "He was definitely ahead, though."
As Andie worked to control her gelding, Rahel let Kaitain slow even more, not wanting to halt the mare completely after such a run, but giving Andie time to catch up. She chuckled at the comment, "It happens. We'll have to do this again sometime!"

Andie laughed. "Yeah, that's why we slowed down when we did." She said as she laughed harder, ignoring the fact that it was the footing that had made the decision, not her. "Even with his long legs, if we'd gone any further, she would have easily overtaken us!"
Once settled she joined the pair again and nodded. "Yes!" She grinned. "I want to get him back to the peak of his fitness, just so that he can hit the circuit again, even without me. And stamina training with you, would do us both good." She wasn't training for endurance riding, but she was sure that the training had be be similar when out on the trails, the only difference was that she would use the arena as well.

Rahel laughed, "She's like the energizer bunny." Just kept going, and going. That was like Oil too, although Kaitain had more of a heart for it - She had no doubt the mare could go far, given the right training and practice.
She smiled as Andie seemed eager to keep up the races, "Stamina training I'm pretty good at - You're always welcome to join us." She paused, "Although usually it's more specific intervals of trotting and cantering, but what's the point if you can't enjoy yourself once in a while?"

Andie nodded with a laugh, it was a good description for the mare.
She grinned, happy that Ráhel also seemed keen in training with her. "Intervals of trot and canter sounds like a wonderful idea." She said, and she could imagine that it would be quite good for the gelding, as it would give him a chance to blow off steam, while also remaining attentive and getting something more out of the ride than a simple hack.
