Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Gladys nodded rapidly. "Yeah, I do." she confirmed. "I was going to ask if it was different having your own horse, but I guess if you've never ridden a school horse then you can't really tell..." She shrugged. The Welsh girl wasn't ashamed of her background; she had no reason to be. Sure, she wasn't rich and was unlikely ever to be so, but that was fine. There were more important things in life, and she was perfectly happy to make do with happiness. After all, that was what people really wanted.

Tori bit her lip, feeling embarrassed for seemed to show off. "School horses are great though." She said with a smile. "At least with them, you aren't stuck with one horse when you have been over-horsed with the one picked for you." When she started out with Stella, things had been horrible and she would have given anything to be able to change to a slightly less insane horse.
Her thoughts went back to the bracelet she was looking at earlier. "Hey! I'd love your opinion on a piece a jewelry I was looking at for my mom." She gave a bright smile. She walked back to the jewelry and picked up the box she had been admiring when she first walked in. "Mom isn't exactly very horsey, but this is subtle enough that it doesn't scream horsey unless you're actually looking at the bit."

"Personal experience?" the brunette enquired with a sympathetic smile. It wasn't an experience which she had personally had to endure, but she'd heard stories, and it certainly didn't sound like much fun, spending your riding lessons on trying to match up to your horse rather than focusing on improving your own technique which was, after all, the point. Ms. Carr seemed to be pretty competent, and she didn't expect to be subject to that kind of problem any time soon, even if she did need to change horses at any point in the future.
She followed the other girl back over to the jewellery section and couldn't help herself but to start smiling. "That's really pretty!" she exclaimed, accent a touch more prominent in her enthusiasm. "I think it's great; if I had one, I'd never take it off."

Tori laughed and nodded. "My instructor and I also didn't see eye to eye very often, which I think he felt affected my riding, so he put me on horses below my level. Then I got Stella though, and all those problems... well, they changed, rather than going away." She laughed with a shrug.
She grinned and nodded at Gladys' enthusiasm, and agreed wholeheartedly about not taking it off if she was given it. "Thanks." She said brightly as she held her findings and looked around to see if she needed anything else. "To buy treats, or not to buy treats? That's the real question." She shook her head, realising she's spoken out loud.

Gladys tilted her head on one side. "Well, that's not very fair!" she exclaimed, running her fingers through her long hair as she often did when agitated. God only knew that she had driven her instructor up the wall at times, but that had been because she was genuinely doing things wrong, and she had only ever ridden horses which, to her, felt as though they were just about at her level.
"No problem," she assured the other brunette easily, giving her a bright smile. Gladys loved jewellery, almost as much as she loved people, and this girl seemed to be nice enough. "And if you ask me, you should definitely buy them, although I may be thinking about chocolate..."

Tori shrugged. "Life isn't. or so I keep getting told." She laughed. At least it was something her parents constantly told her when life handed the Greco family an unfair hand.
She grinned at the mention of chocolate. "Now, you're talking my language!" She said, though she did grab a couple of bags of horse treats on her way to the counter. "We should go and get something decadent from one the eateries around here once I've paid for this lot." Something sickly sweet sounded really good now that Gladys had mentioned chocolate. "My treat!"

"Well, that sucks," Gladys muttered with an exaggerated expression of disappointment. It was true, she supposed, but even so, saying it just made life seem a bit depressing, which was not something that the upbeat brunette was keen on.
Still, at least Tori seemed to share her love of anything chocolatey, and she matched the American's grin as she followed her up to the counter. "That sounds great!" she agreed happily, although she made an internal note that there was no way on earth that she was going to allow the other girl to buy her chocolate. No, she wasn't rich, but she could perfectly well afford chocolate, and she wouldn't impose on anyone if she could help it.
