Basic History>> Sweetie was born and raised on a ranch just outside Dallas, where she was trained in Western disciplines by a member of the ranch's staff. Originally, she was intended to be used for breeding, but owing to a number of health problems which she experienced in her early life, this idea was abandoned and she was instead trained as a proper riding horse, and then sold to another ranch in the state, which was where Paige first came into contact with her. She took an instant liking to the quiet, reliable mare, and laid claim to her within a week.
