Late September Back In '63
Registered Name>> Late September Back In '63
Barn Name>> Sixty
Birth Year>> 2012
Sex>> Mare
Breed>> American Quarter Horse
Breed Registry>> AQHA
Coat Colour>> Strawberry roan
Stable Colour>> Brown
Height>> 17.2
Personality>> Sixty is flighty and easily spooked, taking fright at anything from a flapping tarpaulin to a running cat, and it takes a calm and confident rider to extract any useful kind of work from her in between her frequent spells of panic. Not one to kick or buck, she can nevertheless cause some quite substantial damage to someone who isn't careful around her while on the ground; she detests riding crops and will go nowhere near them, and is given to sudden movements in the stall which mean that an incautious groomer might quite well end up with fewer toes than they started with.
Caution Around>> Anything that moves
Basic History>> Sixty's origins are lost in the mists of time, but she was recovered from the side of a road by a horse rescue charity when she was less than a year old in an emaciated and unhealthy condition. Rehabilitation was a slow and thankless process, and there were times when it seemed that she would never be fit to be ridden, but eventually, things took a turn for the better, and a family came to look at her. At first, it seemed that she wouldn't be suitable, but that failed to take into account the indomitable spirit of one Piper Wilson, and so when they left, Sixty went with them.
