Adrianna finished brushing the mare, smiling happily as her pony stood placidly in the cross-ties, half-asleep already after quite some time of the girl fiddling with her. However, now her coat was clean, her mane and tail were (mostly) tangle-free, and she was, at least in the young girl's eyes, ready to be tacked up. And to be tacked up she was. Ria left the mare standing there and made her way towards the tack room, dodging around the students and their horses as she found Moo's tack locker and opened it, grabbing the pony's saddle, pad, and bridle in her first go. The saddle, while English, was still heavy for her, and her return to the dozing mare was decidedly slower.
However, after the mare was tacked up completely, there was, amazingly still sunlight. It was only a little past three in the afternoon, with Ria having started her work almost an hour earlier, although it felt like longer to the young girl. She grabbed her helmet and buckled it into place, then grabbed Moo's reins, "Come on, Moo! We're going to work on vaulting!" She made her way towards the mounted games arena where she had first learned the term, and had quite failed to master the art of what they had been practising. However, before anything else could happen, the mare would have to be warmed up.
Leading Moo over to the mounting block, Ria was faced with her first challenge. The difference in height between her assigned mount and her own pony made up the better part of a foot, noticeable even from the block, but one that seemed insurmountable when she was trying vaulting. Frowning, Ria tried to figure out what else she could do in the arena, since it was only for Mounted Games, "I know! I can practice dropping things into... things." Realizing that she was missing some equipment for her new plan, namely, the things, she frowned again, "But we don't have anything to practice with." She loosened her grip on the mare's reins and sat on the block, thinking.
