Serenity was sitting cross legged on the floor of the Common Room, with Luna stretched out across the girl's legs, a purr rumbling through the feline's body. The young blonde had her Book of Shadows on the ground beside her and one of her many study books lying open on the floor in front of her as she poured through the pages of the large tome. "This author is a bore." She told the cat and tickled Luna under chin as the feline looked up at her. "Are you a cat or a lawn-mower?" She laughed as the cat's purring grew even louder, the already vocal rumbling gaining speed.
She closed the book she had been reading without going any further and put it into the back pile to her left, the pile that she was going to give to Tommy when she saw him next, as her brother often liked the books that she couldn't stand.
She looked around the currently empty room, with the gentle sound of Celtic music playing as a background noise. She knew that she should probably be doing this in her own room, but she didn't want her room to begin to feel like a prison cell, and after all she was told to make this House feel like home, and this was the best way she could think of doing so.
Rather than opening another book, she moved her Book of shadows in front of her, placed her hands on the cover and closed her eyes. She then sat up straight, smiling as the feline stretched, slipped off the girl's knees and curled up on top of the Book in from of her human. Serenity then folded her hands in her lap and, sitting up straight, she drew in a breath and slowly released it as she stared straight ahead and then let her eyes slide closed as she went into a meditative state.
