Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Martijn blinked for a moment, his brain catching up to what had been said, and the obviously ironic accent the girl had taken on for it, before he began laughing. Finally, he managed to control himself again, although he still chuckled as he nodded, "I guess not." Not that he had, either. Frisians didn't get called upon much to be in Western tack, so while a couple had been introduced to it, they had never bothered with training them to the different cues.
He was glad when Cara didn't push him, asking more about the horses, as he wasn't sure what else he could say about them without admitting that he may have made a big mistake in coming here.
As the conversation turned to Ember, Martijn nodded, "It probably does her a lot of good, to be taken out and ridden properly." And he knew Cara could handle the mare. As he was asked if there was a problem, Tijn was quick to shake his head, "Not at all. I was just curious, I probably just missed seeing you around the barn." Uh... Martijn flushed as soon as the words were out of his mouth, "Uh... Didn't see you, I meant. Although I guess missed seeing you... Err. Never mind." He looked down at his laptop, cheeks flaming, "What's the other mare's name, the one you ride otherwise?" She was in the other barn, he remembered that much.

Cara's eyebrows shot up when he started laughing and then realised what she had done and pressed her lips together with a shrug. Western riding wasn't the in thing to do over in England unless you were seriously competing in the events, unlike working hunter or show jumping, so that's where she was trained, and dressage.
She shifted her feet as she worried her lower lip with her teeth, her head once again feeling a little light, but she was going to put that down to fatigue, which would be gone as soon as she arrived at training in the morning and her game-face was back in place. She just hoped that her head hurt a little less at the time.
She nodded her head in agreement, though it also did the mare good to not only always be worked in the arena, as the last thing the academy needed was a horse that was ring-sour and became a pain to get into any arena. She found that she could breathe again when Martijn confirmed that nothing untoward had come to the large pony. She drew back at his next words, her eyebrows rising toward her hairline as she was once again beginning to think that he was here to spy on her. She shook her head as she realised that he had asked her a question. "Her name is Luna Eclipse... Kit." She replied, though she had also been asked to ride Endless Whisper a couple of times; which she assumed was Ms Carr making use of her small frame.

Martijn nodded as he heard the mare's name again. He would have to make his best effort to remember now. Asking once was normal, twice was acceptable, but a third time? No, that would be too often. By then he should have gotten it down.
Stifling a yawn, Martijn glanced at the clock on the wall, surprised at how long he had been down here already, "I think I'm going to head up. It was really nice talking to you again." He closed the lid on his laptop and butted together the sheaf of papers that he'd printed to look at, "Best of luck with Kit, and Ember when you ride her." She would need the luck for Ember, certainly! The mare had a lot of spunk, that much was sure.
After picking up his laptop, Tijn nodded to Cara, then made his way up the stairs, two flights, before he reached his hallway. It was an awkward juggle as he attempted to free a hand to grab his key and unlock the door, but finally he managed it, although not before Eir realized what was happening and started complaining on the other side of the door, ready to pounce on his feet as soon as he entered.
