"Remember me?" Andie asked the stallion she was leading with a laugh as Wyo seemed to be staring off into space, though she guessed he was probably catching the scent of one of the many mares on campus and was deciding if he wanted to take a closer look. She laughed again as the Haflinger began walking with her again. Reaching the arena that was behind the Evening Primrose barn, she let them both in and fastened the gate behind her again before leading the horse to the middle of the arena, tightened the girth and swung easily into the saddle.
With the arrival of a new stable hand for the barn, and a new sous-boss for her, she found that she had more time to spend with the stud, as the every-days needs of the mares were seen to by the two people who actually had the training to do the work with the pregnant mares. Today she just wanted to give the stud a gentle work out, keep him in shape even if he wasn't exactly working hard, and it also kept the flaxen horse from going nutty by not being worked.

Tux had been walking the fences of their pastures, making sure everything was ready for the summer. While the horses got turned out year-round, except in really poor weather, now came the time where they'd be spending their days outside, and the youngsters could easily start looking for mischief.
Pleased by what he'd found, he was headed back to the barn when he spotted a golden form in the arena. Deciding paperwork could wait a little longer, he walked towards the arena, smiling as he saw Andie and Wyo. He was glad that the stud was getting some time to exercise, and leaned against the fence as he watched the pair for a little bit.

Andie slowly settled the stallion down, and then worked him through his paces and then, for the fun of it, ran through a very basic novice dressage test. After all, it was what the Haflinger was trained in, so it was good to keep him well conditioned, should they ever want to enter him in competitions to get his name out there. She laughed at her own thoughts, as they ran away with her. Her ideas were things that her grandparents would do, and how she had ended up with Quill.
She turned the horse around and waved when she saw Tux leaning against the fence. She wished that her boss at the barn she had worked out before returning to Blue Ridge were half the man that her current boss was. "He was looking bored." She said as she got closer. "So I figured that I'd give him a chance to stretch his legs. I think there are a few mares in season on campus. It took me much longer than normal to get him focused." She laughed as she rubbed Wyo's neck. Anyone who saw him now, would be sure that he were a gelding.
