Aedus had wandered into the classroom with plenty of time before the teacher had began to speak, considering the fact that (considering the amount of seating) only half the class was actually present. And a quick count realized the fact that he was lucky student number 15. Aedus had slid a monster into his bookbag, and the energy drank sat in the mesh pocket on the side of his bad.
He had spent all morning just thinking about drinking it, but he was a bit scared to considering the fact he had yet to take his Equine Reproduction class. And he did not think he made the best impression the first time around, seeing as he had been trembling due to too many energy drinks.
It was this that kept him from drinking it, and he had to ground himself by listening to the teacher. As the man had stopped talking, however, and he pulled out his phone, Aedus' mind naturally slid right back to the drink right within reach. It was so tempting. All he wanted was one little, itsy bitsy sip, and...no. No, he could not. As he thought all of this, somewhere Aedus was laughing. No, he was not addicted to drugs or alcohol, or gambling. No, he was addicted to Monsters and Rockstars. It was pretty interesting, just because it felt so innocent compared to the other things.
Den zoomed from one end of the hall to his English literature class at the other end hoping not to be too late. He arrived in the classroom and noticed that there were quite a lot people already there. He heard the teacher tell them about what they were supposed to do and Dennis picked up his laptop and started searching the computer and at the same time he was raking his brain in search of a movie or book he had seen which was based on a true event. Then it came to him from his mind- "Hachi- A Dog's Tale". It was a film based on the dog's love for his master. He loved that film ever since it came out in 2009 and Den was hoping the teacher would not find a fault in doing the assignment on it. Anyway it gave him the homework of watching one of his favourite films.
He got a pencil out and a notebook and started writing notes on how he felt about the film and what could have made it better so it fitted in more with the true events. He then went on to writing about why it was so heart breaking without mentioning "because it was an animal in the film".
Sergei was still trying to figure out where everything was in the academic building, but thankfully he was only a few minutes late after heading into the wrong direction. He murmured his apology to the teacher and took a seat, listening carefully to the instructions. Slipping out the Samsung tablet from his messenger bag, he turned it on and waited for it log in to the school's wi-fi. He had a good idea of which book and movie he was going to do, but he wasn't quite sure yet. He opened a new tab in Google and quickly typed in "Phantom of the Opera." No, this wasn't the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical, but rather the novel that the musical was based on. "Fantom de L'Opera" was the original, which he had already read, and there have been so many movies made already, that it was easy pickings to choose which one he was going to use.
Opening a second tab, he searched for the Lon Chaney version of the movie. Now he was really going back in time. The movie had been terrifying (and non-musical), and it was an old, silent film, black and white that had been Sergei's real introduction to what could be classed as low-budget horror. Chaney's dedication to the role, however, extended more to the lengths he was willing to go to with the role. Chaney had actual wire placed into his facial features, which were then molded to create the Phantom's ghoulish features. Dedication indeed.
Once Sergei had all the tabs he needed open and bookmarked, he took out a piece of paper and drew up a table, to start to compare the book and the movie.
