Zak watched as other kids came in, some he had never met before and some he had seen but never talked to. Pencil and notebook on his lap he faced the teacher as he spoke to them. He listened intently to what the teacher was saying and it fascinated him because he did not start of wanting to work with horses but now he does.
When it came to introducing themselves he waited until there was silence after someone had introduced themselves. He said quietly but clearly "hello I am Zak Barrett, I was born and raised on a horse breeding barn in Kentucky which bred many well known show jumpers so I have been around foals my whole life and I do not want to stop being around them. I have lots of experience with horses of any temperament and of any age. I even watched from a distance mares giving birth." he smiled as he remembered when he was a young child a buckskin quarter horse giving birth to a beautiful little foal. The memory made him feel as if he was back at home with his mother and father.
He listened to what the other said after him but all he could do was smile and listen.
OOC: Replying now because I won't have a chance to later. Sorry for breaking posting order.
Luka took the sheet, giving a grateful smile. He scanned the sheet quickly and then put it into his file, simply grateful that another teacher understood. Once the class started, he 'listened' in his own way, and focused on the teacher instead of what was going on around him. He knew a few people in the class and didn't quite pay attention to what they were saying. When his turn came, he thought a moment before starting to speak. My name is Luka and this is my first experience with foals, although I do have experience working with difficult and temperamental horses, mostly mares.
He finished, instinctively reaching for Bruno once he had done so. Of course the dog was relaxed and calm at his feet, as he usually was when 'on duty' in a class environment. What he was thinking about was taking the dog for a run on the sport's fields later, smiling to himself more than anything.
Just to make sure that he was understanding what was going on, he quickly scanned the page again, and took out a pen, ready to jot down notes if needed.
