Personality>>Katja's surprisingly quiet, actually. Well, reserved might be a better term for it. She's more than willing to talk, and will absolutely stun you if you manage to hit on a topic that she enjoys talking about, but as for simple small talk, she's not really a fan. She's very competitive, although she's far more at home in the art that is dressage than out on the cross country course.
When Katja starts drawing away from people, it's best to leave her be, although it's hard for some people to notice her attempts. She's relatively quick to anger, and if she can't disentangle herself from a situation, she's likely to lose her temper, which has lead to losing quite a number of friendships in the past.
Personally, Katja is both looking forward to attending Blue Ridge, although she is leery of the language. While she studied various languages in school, including Russian, French, and Spanish, English was never her strong suit, and she only has a rudimentary grasp of it.

*She doped a horse before riding it to prove to her parents that it wasn't too much horse for her. After leasing him for her, she lied and said that there had been a bug under his blanket the next time they saw her ride.

Appearance>> Blonde hair, blue eyes, if you were to tell someone that Katja is German, it really wouldn't surprise them in the slightest. Her hair falls down to the bottom of her shoulderblades in slightly wavy locks, complementing her pale face relatively well. Standing at five-ten, she's an average weight. It's obvious to any that look at her that she's not an elite dancer, her build not cut out for it, although she does decently. Her face is clean, although she doesn't use a lot of makeup. Style-wise, she goes for decent and comfortable rather than stylish, except for in the show ring, where she shows a stylish side that many don't realize she has.

Full History>> Katja was the first child born to Barbara and Bert Eder, a well-established couple that lived in Oettersdorf, Thuringia. Her father was a doctor in the nearby town of Schleiz, while her mother commuted every day to Jena, where she worked as a banker. When her maternal grandmother died, however, the path of Katja's life changed.
Her mother's brother offered their grandmother's space in the family hof to the family. Barbara, who had to commute every day, jumped at the offer, although it wasn't until her father found a position at a nearby hospital that things really got set into motion. Just after Katja's fifth birthday, the family moved to the family building once more, on the outskirts of Jena.
Niklas, their uncle, and his wive and daughter, welcomed the family back into the home with open arms. They split the building down the middle, and the family grew close together. Katja learned to ride almost immediately after moving in, following Daria, her younger cousin, almost immediately out into the stalls where their two horses and pony were kept. However, it was only after the 2008 Olympics that she really got into riding competitively.
Her father introduced her and Kai to their new teacher, a man that had once been an Olympic trainer. He agreed to take the siblings on as pupils as long as they worked in his stables, mucking out, along with caring for their leased horses. Katja found herself enjoying all aspects of eventing, although the art of dressage was definitely her favorite.
Not soon after her parents had actually gone in the large step and bought her a horse, Kai got into an altercation with Niklas and Daria, and while Katja didn't know exactly what happened, she did know that it meant that her parents were looking for a boarding school for Kai, so it must have been a large incident. Once they had found Blue Ridge, suggested by the siblings' riding instructor, they considered the option, then agreed that it might be a good idea to remove Kai from the area. Catching wind of the plans, Katja begged to be allowed to go as well, with the reasoning that at least Kai wouldn't be alone. Their parents reluctantly agreed, although they were worried about the fact that English was her weakest language.

Personality>> Amadou hasn't lost her spunk, not a bit! If you do something to annoy her, expect a bite, no matter how much she likes you. She's very wild when playing, and can spend hours exploring. It shouldn't really be a surprise that she's the one that's learned to walk on a leash, and sometimes accompanies Katja to the barn.
