Dressed in a tight pair of black jeans and a pink top, Libby made her way into the Rec Centre and headed straight to the den. Yes, her parents would be horrified if they knew how much their daughter like playing pool, in fact they would probably have kittens if they found out that her past coaches used to stop off at family pubs and bars on the way to or from competitions that were a good distance from home, and it didn't take much for a brunch of teenagers to convince bikers to teach them their craft.
Walking up to the pool table, she didn't waste any time in racking up the balls and then selecting a pool cue that seemed the perfect weight. Yes, she had quite mastered the game in her years of competing with her home team.
Placing the cue ball where it needed to go to start the game, she positioned her hand on the table, placed the cue on it and with one swift crack she make the break-shot and the balls shot all around the table. She pursed her lips as it looked like the black ball was going to go straight into the side pocket, but it bounced off the side of the table and came to a stop near the middle of the table. Releasing a breath, she walked around the table and lined her cue back up with the white ball and sent the solid green ball into the end pocket. She glanced up as another person entered the den, but ignored them as she walked around the table to line up her next shot.

The show day was over with and so Tyler decided that he would relax in the recreation center. After changing into some khaki pants and a blue crewneck sweater he slipped his vans on and made his way to the middle of the houses where the rec center stand. He immediately made his way to the den and to the fridge.
Usually Mountain Dew was stocked in the fridge but not today and it kind of bummed Tyler out, though he grabbed a Dr. Pepper and was satisfied with it. Taking a seat he had realized that there was another person in here.
His face cracked into a smirk. ”Mind if I join?” His head cocked to the side as he asked. Tyler grabbed a pool stick before she had even answered; he was going to play whether or not she wanted him to.
He remembered this girl from the dressage show, he didn’t know her name though he knew that she and Jeanne-Claire were close and so he prepared himself for the mouth that would most likely accompanied such a companion of the girl he had already dealt with. He smiled and waited for her actual answer before he just hopped in the game.
Jeanne-Claire was in a bit of a mood, as she still hadn't gotten over the show results. It made sense that Maeve had won, of course, with her riding Cricket, a proven champion hunter on the A/AA circuits, and JC on some dinky appaloosa, but it didn't make it annoy her any less. Seeing Maeve ride him had gotten under her skin more than one could imagine, and she just wished it had been an equitation class so that she could take advantage of Maeve's weakness.
Still silently brewing, unwilling to let it go, and eager to plan her revenge, JC returned from the barns and showered in her room, not surprised to find that Libby wasn't there. Neither of them spent a lot of time in the room, but they did have a good time when they were there together, often at night. Too tired and fussy to get herself as dressed up like she usually did, JC threw on a pair of leggings with a Shep Shirt and Sperrys, working her hair into a long french braid instead of blowing it out like usual. It was a much more relaxed looking JC than most people usually got to see, excepting Libby, but she didn't quite care at the moment.
Unwilling to sit in her room alone, Jeanne-Claire stalked down the stairs in hope of finding someone to glare at. She usually stayed within Blue Ribbon when she was just lounging around, but together, for whatever reason, she wandered outside, shivering when the cold November air chilled her still-wet hair. Darting into the recreation room, she closed the door quickly behind her, and looked around, finding the lounge to be empty. Settling onto one of the couches, she'd just picked up a magazine when she heard a familiar voice, and got of slowly, following the sound.
Opening the door to the adjacent room, which she'd never been in, her scowl turned to half a grin, half a smirk, as she assessed its inhabitants. "My favorite people!" she purred. They could assess for themselves how true the statement was. She was happy to find Libby, who was always good company (except if either of them were in a mood), and more conflicted about the sight of Tyler, whom she had conversed with on multiple occasions before. They always made for fascinating conversations, but she wouldn't exactly call him a friend.
Finding her way to the fridge, she opened it, wrinkling her nose when she found neither the Perrier or San Pellegrino that she could always count on finding in the Blue Ribbon House fridge. Settling on a water bottle, she made her way over to the tall, cushioned chairs before the pool table. Sitting down in one, and setting her water on a coaster on the nearby table, she found that she had a perfect view of both the game and its players. "What brings you together? Am I infringing on something?" It hardly seemed likely that she'd interrupted a date, as Libby hadn't told her anything about one, but it would be interesting indeed if that were the case. Crossing her legs, she awaited a response.

Libby scowled as the person who had entered walked up and helped himself to a cue as he asked if he could join. "Most people would wait until the affirmative had been given before they picked up a cue." She snapped. "But whatever! Assume away." She glared at the boy, knowing that it was partially his fault she hadn't placed in dressage. Who the hell did he think he was being at a school like this and riding a Standardbred of all things? He may as well own a donkey! The worst thing was that she had to remain perky and upbeat until she had managed to ditch her personal paparazzi.
Since there was now another person playing, she stepped back from the table. "I'm solids, so you're stripes, those are the balls that have a stripe of colour around the middle. You can sink the eight ball at any time during the game, just not on your first shot, but you must call the shot, and if you sink it into another pocket, you lose the game." Her tone was acidic, making it obvious that he wasn't welcome here. She rested the end, not the chalked one, of her cue on the ground and leaned against it a glare aimed at the door as it opened again.
She relaxed a little as she saw Jeanne-Claire enter the room and grab a drink from the fridge and then walk over to the chairs. "I wanted so time to unwind. And hardly!" She sneered at the boy. She didn't care how cute he was, right now she needed someone to be angry at, and he fit that need perfectly.
"Make sure he doesn't cheat." She said as she stalked over to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of coke zero before returning to the table.

Chuckling to himself he knew exactly the type he would be dealing with. ”Now do I look like most people?”, smirked and listened intently on how they would play the game. He was not one to take losing lightly and something told him that she was in the same boat. ”Who would have guessed.” He shot back sarcastically replying to her comment about the striped balls.
”Sounds fair.” He said in a neutral tone, he could tell that she didn’t want company, but Tyler being himself did not care. Soon after she had explained the game the door opened. With his back towards it he could only rely on his surroundings. Judging by the way his opponent relaxed her knew it could only be one person. He smiled and shook his head, ”Somehow I find it hard to believe that I’m one of your favorite people.” He swung around to face her.
He laughed at the blonde’s next two questions, ”Fate,” He turned to Libby, ”Don’t you think?” Tyler had a smug look on his face, which wasn’t new, he usually always had one. At Libby’s accusation that he would do something so horrid as cheat, he brought his hand to his chest, ”I can’t believe you think I’d do such a thing.”
