Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Erik's demeanor changes depending on the situation. When it comes to things he is passionate about, such as music, art, and history, he is as gravely serious as they come. However, outside of the working environment he is surprisingly laid back, patient, and has an incredibly sense of humor that ranges from dry sarcasm to silly mindless pranks. He absolutely loves a good prank, but a poorly executed one or one meant to be cruel will really wind him the wrong way. He has a pretty explosive temper, which he usually keeps under control. If he sees something he doesn't like though, watch out, he'll certainly let you know.

Dislikes>> Bad singers, Being talked back to, Spoiled children, Injustice, Being asked questions about his personal life, Beauty standards.
Fears>> Being found by the French police and something happening to Marguerite
Hopes>> To start completely over in America and to have a permanent job
Secrets>> Erik is guilty of arson, though he was never actually caught for the crime. He had a hard time finding work and through a string of acquaintances he ended up becoming well known among some very powerful, influential, and dangerous underground groups in Paris. He never did drugs or stole from innocents, or hurt anyone, but he did allow himself to be hired to perform various odd jobs, usually sabotaging rival groups. His final act was to burn down several well-known hideouts for a rival group, which he did easily. No one was injured, he made sure of that, however the authorities were called to investigate the fires, which is when Erik decided the best thing to do would be to flee the country.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Erik stands at 6' tall, but he often stands straight to seem more imposing. He has black hair, which he likes to keep short, and dark brown eyes. He's pretty lanky, but muscular as well. His favorite color to wear is black, but he's not necessarily opposed to other colors. Generally he tries to dress nicely, but much like the colors, he isn't opposed to t-shirts. He tends to look more on the serious side, and has trouble expressing his emotions sometimes, but don't let his looks intimidate you. He has a pretty decent sense of humor.
Markings>> A few scars, most of them long faded, all hidden under his shirt.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> Nothing remarkable.
Criminal History>> Hasn't ever actually been arrested, see Secret.
Full History>> Erik was born in a small down outside Rouen, France. His father, who'd worked in construction, died in an accident before Erik was born. Erik's mother did the best she could, but often got frustrated with Erik. As a young child Erik struggled to make friends and was bullied terribly. His mother decided to take him out of school and have him study at home with a tutor.
Once he was away from his tormenting peers, he blossomed, learning quickly and taking interest in many subjects such as architecture, history, and especially music. He learned piano quickly, and then moved onto violin. He has mastered several other instruments, but piano and violin always remain his favorites. He also took to singing with a lot of passion, and studied with various teachers. When he was 16 his mother was struggling financially to make ends meet, and so Erik decided it would be best for him to leave. He traveled to Honfleur, and began doing odd jobs around such as being a waiting tables at restaurants, working the register in various shops, and sometimes in his spare time he's stand in public areas with his violin and play.
Tourist seasons were good for finding work, winter not so much. Erik tried to find jobs, but found he couldn't get enough money to pay his rent and was kicked out of his apartment. This is when he met Madame Girardeau, who offered him a job as an accompanist in her ballet studio, and a place to stay in her home. He moved in, and never really moved out. He refused to accept pay from her during the winter months, simply grateful for a place to stay. About a year later young Marguerite was born. He ended up spending most of his free time babysitting her, which earned him a few extra dollars. He watched her grow up, and grew rather fond of her. Whenever she fell and hurt herself, he was usually the one cleaning her up. Since she wasn't his kid though, he often didn't involve himself too much in whatever she was doing. He stopped playing at the ballet studio when Meg began dancing, and when the entire group moved to Paris he got his own apartment.
In Paris, he once again struggled to find work. He often secured jobs that were only temporary, but when he did have those jobs he sent all his extra money to Meg and her mother. He visited them on holidays, and continued watching out for the girl (who was a bit too reckless for his liking, but he was one to talk). However odd jobs here and there only got him so far, and despite how hard he looked for a permanent contract, not even Madame Girardeau had a place for him in the new much larger ballet school she taught at. Eventually, his desperation found him working for the very lowest men in the whole city. He did many things he wasn't proud of, but didn't say anything to Meg or her mother, unsure how they would react to what he was doing. Besides, they paid him rather handsomely for the things he did. However when he burned down several buildings in the city and the fires went under investigation, he had no choice but to go to Madame Girardeau and confess what he'd done. It was decided that the safest thing to do would be to leave, and the three of them left Paris and headed for the United States to start a new life. Erik felt incredibly guilty, Meg was incredibly upset that they had to leave. In an attempt to make it up to her, he bought her a horse and a kitten, and anything else her heart desired.
In America, Erik is more determined than ever to do two things, maintain a job, and keep Meg safe lest his past catch up to them.
We found love in a hopeless place
Pet Name>> Sasha
Registered Name>>N/A
Age>> 5
Gender>> Female
Species>> Canine
Breed>> Toy Poodle
Registry>> N/A
Personality>> Sasha is a very social, laid back dog. She tolerates all the silly ribbons and outfits her owner deems appropriate, and unlike many small dogs she isn't easily scared or intimidated by things. There isn't much Sasha hasn't done, or places she hasn't been. She enjoys sleeping mostly, but like a good actress she can be as playful as she needs to when out in public. Once back home though, she enjoys flopping onto her bed and sleeping most hours of the day, which is why Erik doesn't really mind keeping the dog, even though he's more of a cat person.
History>> Meg picked Sasha out for her 9th birthday, and she's had her ever since. Meg often liked to bring Sasha to her ballet school and recitals, and especially liked tying pretty ribbons in her hair and carrying her around. When they moved to America, Meg was unable to bring the dog to school with her, so Sasha lived with her mother and Erik for a while. When Erik decided to teach music at the school, he brought Sasha along so that Meg could have her dog at least sometimes
