Alrighty everyone, here is my new family addition! This is my pound puppy Red. The day I went to the pound, I was going to look at a Collie mix I loved from the photo. But as I was walking down the aisle, I saw this adorable boy. The Collie's owner ended up claiming her, but no one had come for Red. They told me he'd been there 8 days, and he would be put down that afternoon. So I did what any normal person would do and adopted him xD When I met him, I was skeptical but figured I could always find him a home if we didn't mesh. He seemed so preoccupied with everything but me. I thought he was just an independent dog. But I didn't want him dying. To add to my stress, the day before I was going to pick him up and bring him home, the pound clinic called and said he was diagnosed with heartworms. I got really lucky and they have agreed to pay for his treatment. Well, I brought him home two weeks ago, and I must say, I couldn't have been more wrong about him! He's the most wonderful, loving, affectionate dog ever. He follows me everywhere, and he's so happy just to be loved. Not to mention he LOVES to cuddle. Obviously, I've changed my mind. He's not going anywhere! So congrats if you read all that. As a reward, here are some pictures of him xD
Oh my, he is just too cute. -shields eyes from the cuteness- TOO CUTE!!! <3 Never a boring moment with a puppy and I am so happy you saved such a sweet dog's life.
It looks like he's only got three legs in that middle photo.
I'm glad that he has found a happy home. And one of those martingale leads would probably be really good for him, he looks like he's a strong dog (when he wants to be). And as I said in the C-Box, it's only ignorant/stupid people who mistake those leads for a muzzle.
I used to look after two dogs all the time that used to have those leads. It was the only way to keep one of the dogs (a Rottie, Ridgeback, lab mix) beside me as he wanted to go everywhere at once.
