Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

As much as Kai would have loved to spend all day out in the barn or out with Lupus, he knew that he had to give the mare some time to relax too. So, he had decided to head to the library, to browse the equestrian books that they had. He had used the library for reading books, for research, but he had never taken the time to check out all the rest of the books that they offered.
After entering the library, and revelling in the air condition that made it a very nice contrast to the heat outside. He paused for a moment to glance at the list of divisions. Of course, equestrian books were listed seperately, not too surprising for this school. He followed the arrows to find the length of shelf that housed all kinds of equestrian books.
Kai strolled back and forth along the shelves, picking up books whose spines looked interesting, until he finally found one whose cover also looked interesting, something about natural horsemanship. Without bothering to move further from the section he'd gotten the book from, Kai lowered himself to the ground, extending his long legs across the aisle, leaning against the shelves and flipping open the book before he looked down, starting to flip through the book to see if any of the pictures looked interesting enough to stop and actually read.
Ronan had arrived back from his trip home from the summer missing Tally terribly. This was the longest he'd been away from her even if he'd spent the beginning half of his summer in Blue Ridge, and he'd been thrilled to come back and see her again even though he hated leaving home once more. The first few days back had been spent almost exclusively with her, but now it was time to take a bit of a break from the barn. He headed to the library, where he'd spent enough time studying and exploring during the past school year.
Stepping in, he took a moment to pause and enjoy the quiet of the place. After traveling and being around the barns so much, he hadn't spent much time in silence, and library silence was his favorite sort. It wasn't truly silent, but better, with only the sounds of murmurs and turning pages.
He took his time walking through the shelves, running his finger over the spines of books and collecting a select few in his arms to check out. After several shelves of books, he spotted a pair of long legs blocking the aisle, and curiously, but cautiously, took another step forward to see who it was. Upon identifying the other student, a grin spread over his face. "Hello!" he greeted his classmate, his voice hushed.

Hearing rather than seeing someone approaching, Kai automatically drew his legs up, clearing a path should the person be trying to walk past. Sure, he liked stretching out, but that didn't mean that he could block the aisle!
However, a hushed greeting made him look up, flipping the book closed. He hadn't found any interesting pictures yet, and he could just as well start over later, “Hey Ronan!” He was careful to keep his voice quiet, although he was happy to see his classmate, “How was your break? Did you go anywhere?” He hadn't been around to judge who was or wasn't present, so he would have to rely on questioning the people to figure out who had stayed, “Did you get a chance to go home?” He knew the boy lived across the ocean, as he did. It was nice to have some other international friends. They at least understood the difficulty that was going home at times! It wasn't just a car drive away, not for them.
Trying to remember the name of the boy's horse, he asked, “How's Tally doing?” That was it, right? Yes, they'd had a class together, now that he conjured up the idea of the dark, dark bay.
