Personality>> Desire is your typical mare; she tends to be a bit moody. She is usually pretty friendly but has her moments where she just decides to act up for seemingly no reason. However, her acting up tends to parallel with Honor trying to show off. Desire tends to be the more dominant horse around other mares, and is fairly strong-willed. She likes to work and to run. It's noticeable in the arena how much she loves to race around the barrels, even to those who aren't quite familiar with horses. In the stables, she can be a bit pushy when it comes to her manners. As long as it's Honor riding her, she is well-behaved. But if anyone else tries, Desire likes to push her limits. She won't respect the person's space and likes to try to get away with rubbing her head on them. For the most part, she doesn't have many issues, but for some unknown reason, she doesn't like to be blanketed in the pasture. She will do her best to roll, rub and bite to get the blanket off of her.

Basic History>> Desire was bred on a breeders farm, though not a very well-known one. She was registered and trained by them, as they kept her until she was two due to their daughter taking a liking to her. However, the daughter went off to college and they decided not to keep the filly anymore. They sold her to Honor's parents, where Emily took the liberty of sending Desire to a trainer for her daughter. The filly was broke by the time she was 3 years old. Working with the trainer continuously, Desire (and Honor) learned the ways of Western riding. Honor worked with the mare continuously, tending to sleep in the barn with her every once in awhile. Most of their time was spent together, as long as Honor wasn't in school. They continued this pattern for years. When Desire was 5, they entered their first shows together. They did well, but even though Desire loved the barrels, it was clear they weren't in it just for pure competition. They enjoyed the sport together and just continued to do it for pure enjoyment. Desire stayed with Honor in Michigan, continuing to do their riding over the years. Once they found out they were moving to Kentucky, they loaded up the mare and took her off to Blue Ridge with Honor.
