Personality>> Manny is pushy and stubborn, and does have a tendency to become nippy when bored. That was one of the main reasons he was gelded, and while the behaviour has improved, he hasn't unlearned it in the ten years since. He is jumpy and skittish around new situations, and does have more than one good spook in him. He has difficulty focusing on one task at a time (equine ADD) and that is why dressage is not their strongest point. Though when it comes to jumping, the faster the better, and Bran just needs to point and line up the gelding at any fence. As long as Manny's rider is confident, he will be too. There are the occasional fences that Manny will still spook at, usually the brightly coloured ones, but that has gotten better over time.

Basic History>> Manny is Bran's first horse that he was lucky enough to invest in. Manny was bred in the US from Voltaire bloodlines, and was raised and backed at the stud farm. He was gelded at four, after showing some unwelcome and what can be termed dangerous coltish behaviour. He was given a year off after being gelded, and then sold to a prominent eventing rider who wished to make Manny her next champion, seeing that his bloodlines were ideal for high level competition. He was a lot to handle, and he was sold on a few months later. He was exported to the UK, and once Manny was settled, was put on an intensive regime with a rider that didn't take any nonsense, but was soft handed. At 8, Bran was looking to invest in his first horse and came across Manny in the sale pages. His rider suffered a riding injury, and wouldn't be able to develop the gelding's talent further. Manny and Bran got on really well, though they still have their off days.
