ANDREA STARR-VALENTINE
<<Played by Weasel>>
Full Name>>Andrea Starr-Valentine
Nicknames>>Age, 'Drea
Age>> October 13; 15
Staff or Student>> Student
House>> Red Ribbon
Gender>> Female
Sexuality>> Bisexual
Face Claim>> Alisha Newton
Personality>> Andrea is a very fiery little thing. In fact, someone who doesn't know her very well would think that she has no fear. This, of course, isn't true. When she's afraid of something, she can get aggressive. She'll either go out of her way to avoid it or rush in headfirst. Both can cause issues. She tends to lash out at anyone who makes her do anything she doesn't want to do. When she isn't afraid of things, she's friendly to almost everyone. She does have a nasty habit of judging books by their covers, but generally if someone is nice to her, she'll be nice to them. She is very competitive; she has a need to prove to herself that she's got at least one thing that she can do better than each of her peers. This is something she keeps to herself. She'd rather avoid senseless conflict.
Likes>> Animals, Video games, Reading, Writing, Art, Swimming
Dislikes>> Math, Working out, Rising early, Drama, Being told what to do, Modern cartoons
Fears>> Scorpions, Heights
Hopes>> To become an artist, to compete in high-level eventing, maybe to become a trainer
Secrets>> She struggles with low self-esteem and sometimes anxiety.
Appearance>>The first thing you might notice is her fair complexion. The next might be her large, dark eyes. They're full of fire and life. Her hair is long and dark, framing her round face. She's fond of braids, but she'll wear a plain ponytail if she's not in the mood to mess with it. Sometimes she'll leave it down, but she likes it out of the way. She has full lips and a bright smile, complete with dimples. She isn't terribly tall, which makes riding a bit more interesting when she's dealing with big eventing horses. As for clothes, she'll wear whatever is comfortable.
Markings>> A few scars here and there from falls and mischief, but nothing terribly noticeable.
Medical History>> She broke her foot when she fell off her longboard a few years ago.
Criminal History>> She was caught a few times for graffiti, but she argues that it wasn't "just tagging." She claims that it was art.
Full History>> She was raised by her father; her mother passed away when she was four. Her older brother Nick helped raise her and her twin brother, Chase, as best as he could. Because of all that, they're a tight-knit family.
As soon as she could hold on to a saddle, she started riding. Her father is an excellent rider, and he'd been teaching Nick for years. Naturally, Andrea couldn't wait to get in the saddle. One day, she clambered up onto the mounting block and jumped on the back of one of her father's Friesians. That was only the beginning.
As she got older, she learned more and more. Before long she was competing in Dressage and bringing ribbons home. She loved it, but still wanted more. She started taking jumping lessons and loved that, too. Her father bought her a gelding of her own that had been started in Dressage. It took a few years, but Andrea had him jumping like he'd been doing it his whole life. She found she could enter him in Dressage shows when she felt like it, and jumping shows when that mood stuck her. Her father was concerned when she showed an interest in cross country. He told her it was dangerous, but she did't really care.
It took a lot of begging, but she finally convinced him to let her enroll in Blue Ridge. She's confident that her Dressage-loving brother will follow suit.
Pet Name>> George
Age>>2 years
Gender>> Male
Species>> Weasel
Breed>> Ferret
Personality>> He's your typical ferret; running around, playing, chewing on power chords when no one is looking. He'll cuddle with Andrea, or anyone else that might have some food. Randomly, he takes naps throughout the day. He loves to hide under furniture. It makes sense that someone as mischievous as Andrea would have an equally mischievous pet.
History>> Andrea received George as a birthday gift when he was about 8 weeks old. His litter and their mother had been rescued from a neglectful owner and were just waiting at the local animal shelter. It was lucky for George that Andrea had been asking for a ferret for some time, and that her father had heard about the litter, because a few days after arriving at the shelter he found himself with a little ribbon around his neck. Andrea and her family have cared for him since then.
