Personality>> Despite his somewhat militaristic name, it would be hard to find a horse with a sweeter nature than Captain. Gentle to all riders, young and old, and especially those who are nervous, Captain would be a dream first horse were it not for the fact that Anne guards him so jealously. He also gets on well with other horses, and dogs and cats pose no hazard. He is deeply attached to his owner, and those who do not see past her stern exterior often wonder at how much Captain cares for her. One of his habits is to lean his head on her shoulder while she talks to others, and once she has forgotten that he is there, he will blow sharply down her neck.

Basic History>> Captain was originally bred by a friend of Anne's, from a mare who she had ridden often while she was younger, and Anne purchased him at the age of four when she came out of the mounted police. She trained him herself, with help from the friend who had sold him to her, since she had a lot of experience in both breeding and training. Since then, the two have been inseparable; even when Anne joined the army, she made regular trips back home to see her horse, who was being cared for by her sister at the time. Once she left, she spent almost every day in riding, and the two forged a close bond which has remained unbreakable.
