Personality>> Kai is a very friendly, easygoing guy that just sort of takes everything in stride. He's pretty laid back, and doesn't get fazed or upset by much. He can be quite the daredevil when encouraged into doing things, and loves having fun with his mates, though he also likes reading and learning as much as he can. Despite this, everyone has flaws, and Kai is no exception. Kai tends to drive people away when he's upset or angry, feeling like he doesn't deserve them, which is really different from his usual friendly nature. Not only this, but his hate toward dishonesty tends to mean that he'll give blunt truths in certain situations, making him seem a bit cruel and upfront. Those that know him tend to laugh these things off, though. Along with everything else, Kai has a minor PTSD from the fire.

Appearance>> Kai isn't incredibly tall at 5'8, and is more of an average weight for his height at 130 lbs. He has short, somewhat spiky brown-blonde hair that he doesn't tend to put too much effort into, preferring a casual look, dark blue eyes, and a smile that could light up a room that can sometimes take the form of a light smirk. He prefers a rather casual dress, usually jeans and a somewhat baggy t-shirt. Occaisionally he might where a beany in the winter months, but he doesn't really care what people think of how he dresses anyway.

Medical History>> A few burns from a house fire, but none terribly severe. Minor PTSD. No other known illnesses or allergies.
Full History>> Kai was born and raised in California. His family was a reasonably happy one, with not many fights or arguments at all. Being raised in such a great environment, Kai and his younger sister grew up to be pretty friendly and laid back most of the time. The two siblings, while sporting a minor sibling rivalry, were very close, and Kai was very protective of his little sister. However, not many bothered the two siblings, and they managed to live their lives quite easily.
Due to horsey parents, Kai was up in the saddle before he was even three, and he loved everything to do with horses. He would insist on petting one every time he saw one, whether it was big or small, and even if it tried to bite him. As he grew older, he realised you shouldn't pet just any random horse, but found himself having to teach his sister the same lesson all the same, before she learnt the hard way like he did. Both children eagerly took on riding lessons, and soon made some horsey friends as well.
One day when he was staying at a friend's house, their was a huge house fire, though the cause was unknown. Almost everyone had been outside, but sort of thinking of his own younger sister at the time, Kai had run back inside and saved his best friend's baby sister without hesitation, gaining a few burns on his arm when he'd gone in to get to the toddler, but otherwise making it out again just fine. The young boy was seen as a hero for a time by his little community, though he shrugged it off and eventually this dieddown. What didn't die down, however, was his fear of fire, which he had to get counciling for due to his PTSD. This did gradually start to take an effect, to the point he became only afraid of huge fires.
Eventually the small family moved to Florida, where Kai got his very own pony. He rode this pony doing all sorts of things, and loved leading his sister around on him as well. As his sister began to ride properly, he'd give her little pointers when riding the pony, and the two siblings remained just as close. Life was happy, but pretty uneventful for a while. By the age of thirteen Kai was onto riding horses, and his pony was entirely passed on to his sister. After a few more lesson on horses and riding his father's favourite horse, Kai was given his own horse for his fourteenth birthday, he was thrilled, of course. Not long after this, the family moved again. Kai took in an abandoned kitten from the ASPCA that his sister called Mira. A short while later he, accompanied by Mira and his gelding Rosco, made for Blue Ridge Academy.

Personality>> Mira is a playful little sweetheart. She loves cuddles and playing, and will chase literally anything that moves. There's hardly ever a boring moment with this one, and her only calm moments - when she's sleeping or eating - don't last long. However, she is an adorable little thing with a heart of gold. When she gets a little too caught up in her play, however, she can go a bit over the top and nip or scratch people, though this tends to be quite harmless. She also hates being left alone since she was weaned early and abandoned, so she will cry when Kai is gone for too long. Though this can often be supplemented by cuddles, and she's never held a grudge.
History>> Little Mira and her siblings were born after a careless owner let their unneutered feline run rampant, causing her to get pregnant. The kittens were born as quite a surprise, but were reasonably healthy. The mother was quite willing to care for them, and while her owner didn't want them, she'd growl at him every time he went to take them. Eventually the man got sick of them and just grabbed the kittens and abandoned them on the side of the road, too young yet to be weaned. The kittens were eventually found and brought in to the vet, where they were monitored until they were healthy enough to be rehomed. They were given on to a foster home, who kept them until they were old enough to be spayed before giving them to the ASPCA to be adopted out. It was surprisingly difficult to find all the kittens homes, but they managed all but one. Eventually, a young teenage boy spotted the adoption flier for the kitten, and begged his parents to let him take it in. He, along with his sister, named her Mira, and she decided to claim Kai as 'her human.'
