Personality>> While this boy is generally sweet and polite, Spice does have a bit of sass to him. More than once has he taken off in the pasture with someone's hat, and he can get a bit pushy around grain if it comes out. He's not a particularly laid back horse to ride, rather enjoying to engage with his rider and make them think. He can occasionally look to push boundaries if he's in a particularly energetic state of mind, although usually he's more than happy to comply with what's asked of him. He's got a good amount of go still in him, even if he wasn't quite enough to take Ivan to the higher levels of eventing.

Basic History>> The Thyme Traveler was born at a well-known Andalusian ranch, where the owner had come into a Frisian mare and had decided to breed her to his cremello stud. Spice was the result, and while gorgeous, he was gelded after it came out that his dam carried various genetic faults. As such, he was then useless at the ranch as a stud, and was sold to Karen, who liked the look of the gelding. She trained him in the basics before giving him to Ivan when the adoption was finalized. The pair competed a lot together, and continue to do so, even though Spice doesn't always have the ability to go as high as Ivan would like.

Personality>> Avisé is a quite exciting, but generally predictable ride. She doesn't really like things lying on the ground that resemble snakes (hoses, ropes, etc.). She loves going, and going fast. If she isn't worked regularly, she tends to get jumpier. On the ground she's less of a sweetheart - She doesn't have a problem with swishing her tail at those pesky humans if they take too long to groom her, and has been known to nibble at pockets where treats might be hiding.

Basic History>> Avisé was born on the McGinty stud to an Irish Sporthorse (1/2 ID, 1/2 TB) mare and a Thoroughbred stallion. Nothing really notable happened until about her third birthday, when she started entering training for eventing, which she showed an aptitude for. Karen O'Connor actually flew out to evaluate her at five years of age, curious about the mare for her new up-and-coming rider, but didn't take the plunge then. When Teddy was sent to Blue Ridge, though, Karen got back in contact with the owner and bought Avisé, then arranged for her to be shipped to the school for Teddy to compete on.
