Secrets>> Knew she didn’t want to attend vet school before it had even started, but didn’t want to let her parents down, so went anyway.
Appearance>> Standing at 5’2”, Ida is anything but tall, though her personality makes up for her small frame. Her blonde hair falls just below her shoulders, framing her face when left out, but more often pulled back into a ponytail or a messy bun if needed out of the way in a hurry, and her green eyes sparkle with humour at everything.
Her normal clothes are a fitting t-shirt and comfortable jodhpurs with her favourite pair of paddock boots, as she retired her field boots when she gave up competitive riding.
Markings>> Piercing in each ear.
Medical History>> Normal childhood illnesses, but nothing to mention other than that.
Full History>> Ida was pretty much born in the saddle, and could ride before she could even walk, as her family was all about the horse business. Her mother was a competitive eventer and her father rode the polo ponies that his parents bred and trained.
Ida grabbed the horse-bug by the horns though, and every spare moment was spent in the saddle, training for one show or another, following her her mother’s footsteps as an eventer, and doing her best to fit in school between everything else.
With her love for all animals, it was suggested that Ida look at vet school, and her parents seemed to love this idea, so even while their daughter was still thinking if this was the right move for her, they arranged everything, and with her grades, it was no surprise that she was accepted. A year into the program though, and Ida knew that it wasn’t where she needed to be, though while they were looking at animal husbandry, she wanted to know more, so took a course that focused on that.
New knowledge in hand, she accepted a job with her grandparents, working on their stud farm, helping out where she could, and tried her best to stay out of the way as everyone seemed to treat her with kid gloves, and she was essentially doing nothing for the actual business, other than being a stable hand.
Through a contact from her riding days, she found a job at a sport horse and pony stud and found herself not only actually working there, but also teaching teenagers on the side, who were interested in animal husbandry themselves. A storm brought the place to an end one night as one of the barns caught light and their insurance wouldn’t cover it so Ida once again found herself looking for somewhere new.
She found the stable hand job at Blue Ridge advertised and when applying for that also applied for the position of the reproduction teacher, making a note that she would very much like the stable hand position should the other one already be taken.
