Karina still couldn't believe her luck as she walked out of the White Oak Barn, having prepared a stall there for Cas - Her horse, now. Her parents had called her with the news early that morning, letting her know now that months of debate on their end, and some exchange of paperwork and details between them and the school. She hadn't been totally surprised, since it had been a vague question in one of their conversations around Christmastime, but still, pleasant news to receive towards the end of the school year.
Now, she had transferred all of Cas' information over to his new home, had prepared his stall, and had already started looking for tack - Although she had permission to keep using the set she'd used at the vet clinic until she found her own. The only thing left was to bring the Lusitano 'home', and that was where she was headed now, his new blue biothane halter (quite appropriately having arrived today, courtesy of her parents) in her hands.
After the process that was haltering the gelding, she led him out of the vet clinic for hopefully the last time, murmuring at him to 'wave goodbye' to his friends. They made the rather uneventful walk across the campus and then approached the White Oak Barn again. Kari smiled at the students who greeted her, although her attention was mainly on Flamecaster - The horse was definitely interested in the commotion that was more common here, and less so in the vet clinic's quieter yard.

Katherine smiled as she walked down through her barn, a horse nameplate in her hand. She was pleased that the plate had arrived before the horse, even if he was just across campus, as she didn't like being unorganised, and it just make the place look so much more professional if she didn't have to use temporary name markers.
Arriving at the stall, she pulled the screwdriver from her pocket and quickly set to work attaching the plate where it needed to go and wiped over it with a cloth when she was done, stepping back to look at it with a nod - yes, and to make sure she hadn't put it on upside-down. She stepped forward to have a quick look in the stall, making sure that the water system was working properly, and once again nodded. Everything looked ready for the gelding to move into his new stall.

They finally made it into the barn, and Karina smiled as she saw Ms. Carr in front of the gelding's stall. She was pleased to see the nameplate that now graced the stall as well, arrived just in the nick of time. As they walked closer, she halted the gelding and put a hand on his neck, "Good morning, Ms. Carr. Thank you for making sure everything was ready for Cas, I hope he doesn't make a nuisance of himself." The gelding, while alert with ears pricked high, stood steadily, the very picture of good behavior, at least for the moment.

Katherine smiled as Karina arrived with the new horse. "It's all part of our service." She said as her smile deepened. "Unless he can unlock his door, I don't think there was be any problems." She assured the girl, casting a glance toward Garçon, who was watching her over his stall door.
She returned her attention to Karina and Cas. "While he's finding his feet as a working horse, you are still more than welcome to ride Ella. The last thing we need is for Cas to suddenly find himself overworked and resentful of his new position." While the offer was her own, she had been lectured by her daughter about taking things easy on Cas while the gelding got to know his new surroundings.
