Full History>> Katherine was the only child of a vert wealthy family, and was mostly brought up by a nanny and the housekeeper, though she knew her parents loved her, as they spent as much time with her as they could when their jobs (both of them were lawyers) didn't keep them away from her.
After spending the younger part of her childhood begging and pleading with for a pony, she was finally rewarded with a sprightly Welsh Cob on lease and became a member of the local pony club.
She continued riding throughout the rest of her younger years and gained many trophies and ribbons to add to her ever growing collection, as she rode not only her own horses but worked as a catch rider as well.
Once she finished High School, everyone was pleased when she was accepted into Yale, where she spent the next few years gaining not only her bachelor in arts but a masters degree in property business and management and a degree in equine management; all while continuing to train and compete her horses.
While at Yale, she also met a charming young man named Peter Andual, they quickly fell in love and she gladly accepted his proposal for marriage. They moved in together after finishing their courses. Things were going great, Peter got a job at a local law firm and the competition barn where she boarded her horses were looking for a new manager.
Not eveything could always remain perfect though and when Katherine announced one morning that she was pregnant, everything went wrong; although they had spoken about having children, it seemed that Peter wasn't ready for children, and rather than talking it through - even the option of termination - he filed for a divorce and vanished.
So, very alone an pregnant, Katherine moved into the cottage at the barn where she worked as manager and trained riders, while still training and competing her own horses.
The Pregnancy went well, thought there were complications during the birth that have stopped her from being able conceive again. But that didn’t stop her from loving her two beautiful children, Demeter and Dylan.
The barn where she worked seemed to be going well, but then everything hit the fan and the owners closed the place, so Katherine was left with two children and four horses.
While reading through the paper one morning a job application seemed to leap out at her, a chance to manage a barn and teach riding. With her degrees behind her, she figured that it wouldn’t hurt to apply. Katherine moved to Blue Ridge with her children a week later.
We found love in a hopeless place
