Blue Ridge is a fictional town located deep in the heart of Kentucky. It is home to one of the most well known equestrian academies in the United States. Students and staff from all over the world join the academy for what it has to offer. Do you have what it takes to join us and learn from the Academy?

Gladys held her breath as she walked into the barn. Although no one had ever actually said that she wasn't allowed to be there, she couldn't help but feel very strongly that she was intruding, and that she really ought not to have been so presumptuous. Still... well, she might as well admit it; she was nosy, and, what with all the time that she'd spent at the Academy so far, this barn was more or less the only place that she hadn't made it into yet. Well, except the other Houses, obviously, but that was different; she knew she wasn't supposed to be in there.
Ida stepped back, hands up, as Windi swung her head around toward her. When the two mare's had arrived, as different in temperament as the sun and the moon, Ida had been working on getting the lighter of the two mare's to enjoy being in her company, as since she was the mare who was in foal, it was imperative that she became comfortable with at least herself or Tux handling her on a regular basis.
She stepped forward again as the mare relaxed and made sure that Windi was going to remain relaxed before she ran her hand down the Black Forest's neck and then onto her stomach, all the while keeping an eye on the mare's head. She prepared to step back again as the mare's ears once again went flat, but this time it seemed her attention was on something outside her stall.
Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a packet of mints, the sound catching the mare's attention; and Windi looked at her, ears pricked. "You are such a faker." She laughed as she offered the mare a couple of mints, before leaving the stall. "Can I help you?" She asked the student she could see, her tone as warm and friendly as it was when she spoke with the horses.
