Personality>> Dreaming is Believing, aka Nightmare, is a die-hard horse. Everything he does, he does it well. That was one problem when training him. He is very loyal, and he does his very best. However, being young he is also extremely spooky and frisky. Talk about having a lot of energy! He will never give up.
Nightmare gets jealous easily, so Lexi has to spend quality time with him, and she can’t ride other horses. Again, he is very loyal, so he wants nothing but loyalty back.
With other people, he’s not the fiery horse Lexi knows. He can actually be very timid, and usually ‘timid’ means he considers a fight or flight response. Because he usually chooses ‘fight,’ Lexi doesn’t let anyone but her Aunt Vanessa do anything with him.
Caution Around>> He's a young horse, and so he can spook very easily.
Basic History>> Nightmare grew up on West Winds Ranch. He was dammed by West Winds Seeker, and sired by This Is My Belief. There he was trained in the western specialty. Having Vanessa Ford as his owner and trainer, he was very lucky. He responded fairly well to her cues. When Lexi came to see horses to choose from (she had a choice between several horses), Nightmare was tested for Lexi, and he responded quite well. Lexi was very impressed. Vanessa had told her what to look for in a steed, and when Lexi rode Nightmare and saw his temperment, she knew she just had to have him. So she chose Nightmare, and the horse converted: he was no longer the same gentle-to-everyone horse, but a horse that would fight for his favourite person.
