Full History>> Miranda was born in Texas, on a small ranch just outside of Mineral Wells. Her mother was once an Olympic rider, before she had Kent. Her father was a breeder and trainer of Trakehner horses. After the two of them fell in love and married, they settled down and both worked on breeding and training horses for champions.
Miranda was always expected to ride and compete on the ranch’s horses. She excelled at cross country and jumping, although she never really was ‘into’ horses. She did, however, take on shows and such because of her family. They pushed her into coming to BRRA, although she didn’t want to. She took along two of the family’s show horses and two of her ‘rescues’, horses that she adopted herself that needed good homes.
When she was in sixth grade, she had a teacher that introduced her to rock climbing. It was love at first sight, and Miranda knew that was what she wanted to do. She went out to climb as often as she could, usually every weekend. She and her teacher were soon good friends, even after Miranda moved out of sixth grade. They still write back and forth as often as possible, discussing climbs and other things.
