Anna had finally come up with a reason to find her way to downtown Blue Ridge, so after her morning swimming she got changed and made her way into town, letter in hand. She'd decided to write to her friend back home since she was feeling homesick, and she thought that Camille would appreciate it. Camille was the sort of girl who did everything properly and appreciated anything elegant and pretty. She and Anna were sort of unlikely friends, but they got along well, and had since a very young age.
Making her way down the road, Anna kept her eyes peeled for the post office. As the town began to form before her, she quickly realized that this was a much different sort of "quaint" than her home. It didn't take her long to find the post office, and she opened the door, smiling slightly at the ring of the bell. Making her way up to the desk, she ordered and paid for a couple of sheets of stamps. That was why she'd come to the post office rather than just mailing it from the school.
Peeling a stamp off of the sheet, she stuck it on the top right corner of the envelope. She'd already written in Camille's address and the return address, so she just had to mail it. After dropping the letter in the box, Anna began to leave, but decided to stay for a moment. It was cooler inside the building, and she'd like to stay there for a bit longer before beginning the hot walk back to the school. Peering out the window, she began to watch the activity from a sort of outside point of view, behind the glass.
