Personality>> Quiet, reclusive and hardworking, Athena only ever strives for the best. Although described by others as being shy and standoffish, she is a firm believer of the if life hands you lemons, make lemonade philosophy, and no matter how horribly her life can seem at any one point, she will rise above it and come out stronger (after all she was named after the Greek Goddess of war). She isn't one to wear her emotions on her sleeve, and others have to push pretty hard to get her to show any form of emotion. Not one to class herself as a genius, Athena is quite clever and does well in all of her classes, though she does with her memory was a little better when it came to school work (as she is known to get mind blanks when sitting down for the likes of an exam or test), and not so good when it came to other things.
She borders on having OCD with the fact that everything in her surrounding area always has to be clean and tidy, including herself. She would shower ten times a day if she were able, and will wash her hands repeatedly. This is something that others have made fun of in the past as she works with horses - and won't have anyone else do the work for her.
While she is very private about her life she has chosen to use her past to become a stronger person and to use her experiences to enable her to help others. She is an observer by nature, and will sit in the background of a social setting - normally with an embroidery hoop in her lap working on a cross-stitch - and just observe how others interact with each other (which allows her to learn more about people then they think).

Witnessed another skater tamper with someone's skates which ended up with the owner of the skates falling during a routine and breaking her leg. Athena was warned to keep silent or else, and still hasn't spoken about it.

Appearance>> Athena stands at a good height of five feet and three inches, a good height, and her frame is said to be willowy Her brown hair can be described as unruly at the best of time and it always worn pulled back into a French braid, and when loose frames a heart shaped face. Her grey eyes, when they can be seen, are filled with the look of someone who has given up, as she is haunted by her past.
If she's not dressed in jodhpurs and polo shirt (the weather will determine the sleeve length), she is wearing classy pants and a shirt with a sleeveless vest. She owns jeans, but doesn't often wear them as she doesn't like the way the denim feels when she moves.

Medical History>> Many childhood illnesses, ruptured her left Achilles during a skating competition, broken arm from being pushed down a flight of stairs.

Full History>> Left at a fire station in San Francisco as a tiny baby, Athena became a ward of the courts right from day dot (the doctors said she could be more than a few hours old). Rather than putting her into the children's home, the social worker she had been assigned to, Nero Kallias, instantly put the baby into a foster home, as she felt that the abandoned baby needed the love and hands-on approach of an actual family then the hands-off approach she had seen in most children's homes. She was enrolled into ballet classes as early as possible and then into ice skating classes when she was old enough. And, when the girl began to show an interest, she was also enrolled at a top of the line riding school.
Got caught in the crossfire of a fight between a foster father and brother and was caught by a flying fist, pushing her backwards into a bathtub filled with water and panicking, she couldn't get to the surface, so she is now terrified of the fact that she might drown if she goes into water.
Nero never kept the girl in one place for too long, making sure that each of the girl's foster homes were carefully selected. Once the child was eight, her social worker was worried that her parents would decide that they wanted their baby back, so she gain permission from the courts and moved with the girl to England, where she began to shape and model the girl more strictly than she had already done, and enrolled her at St Mary's School for Girls.
At the boarding school, Athena threw herself into her work; academic, equestrian and ballet. And when she wasn't in school she was at the local ice rink. Her life was then filled with competitions, tests and training - and not just with school. As she approached her teens, she began to pull back from the social scene, and withdrew into her own shell. Only ever speaking if she was called upon and only then if she had no choice. She had known for a while that her life was different from everyone else's, and that she had to do as she was told.
Then something happened and Athena found herself on a plane again and they were headed back to the Sattes. She was placed into a foster home - a house in the middle of no where - where she was treated like a servant, not allowed to leave the property until Nero came to collect her and brought her to Blue Ridge.
