Grumpy around other horses when ridden, prone to napping Marj to most people would be a give up horse. She's headstrong and will try and get her own way. On top of this having been ran into numerous times from behind she has the nasty tendancy of kicking. At least when ridden and if there's an energetic horse behind her. She also tries to get out of work either by heading for the gate or if there are other horses in a session behind them. This is all merely taking the mick, testing what she's allowed to get away with. If faced with a rider who won't allow her to play around and take the mick she's more then happy to work. She can get a bit backing off at jumping and has some confidence issues relating to such however a rider willing to work her through it and she'll go far.
Caution Around: Other Horses (she can kick when ridden), Jumping (Confidence issues mainly)
The History
Basic History: Marj was originally private owned by a competent rider. For reasons unknown however she ended up in a riding school situation. There she slipped from bad, to worst, to absolutely terrible. Marj became known for kicking at other horses after numerous lessons where the was placed lead horse and a quicker horse ran into her. She got overfaced with fences and too much time spent in a school environment and her vices grew from the wrong 'type' of rider being put on her, she wasn't a beginners ride.
The owner themselves wanted a quick sale, and when Aidan seemed to be able to at least make her work he was more than willing to allow the mare to go to Aidan. There's been some time, and some improvement since he got her. He's worked hard to make her understand that she can't take off on him just because she wants to and its not going to get her anywhere. It's been a learning period for both of them however.
