Starlight can be a handful at times when there is a lot going on. He will do anything that Derrick asks him since Derrick saved his life. He sometimes has his fits that he does not want to do anything but Derrick knows how to get around them and get the job done and in a timely manner which is required in Western Sports so that they can get the highest scoring. He is very caring about the other animals around him and does not doing that would hurt the ones around him. He loves water though especially baths and rivers.

Basic History:
Starlight was an wild Mustang when he was rounded up with his herd and sold at an auction. The herd was being taken for horse meat when Derrick stepped in and begged his adoptive father to buy him because he could not watch the whole herd be taken for meat. His adoptive father bought the whole herd and started to train them for the rodeo.
Starlight was brought back to the ranch and gelded which Derrick did not want but his adoptive father would not have it any other way. He was then vaccinated and started to be trained by Derrick under the mentor of his adoptive father. They won several things together.
