The man stood at the front of the class room that was beside his office for being an English teacher. He hoped that he would not have to count anyone absent on his first class. He also hoped that he would make this course interesting to keep the class engaged. He wished that some of his teachers would have done that to him. He turned to write on the board behind him.
Mr. Adam Bales Trail Riding Class
He turned back to the desk that was in the counter of the room and leaned against it. He had his arms crossed against his muscular chest as he waited for the rest of the class to show up. He loved being early but that was because he was in the military and they were big on that. If you were not on time, then you got to be punished with push ups or whatever else the COs could come up with but they ended up teaching the recruits a lot to deal what would happen in life of a shoulder.
He finally stood up and sighed as he moved to the front of the class. "Good afternoon Class." he said as he started when the rest of the class finally got into the room.

Amy was surprised when she had heard that the first trail class with the new teacher would be unmounted, but she didn't really mind. Just in case he did take issue with Wolf, it would be easier to answer questions should she not be mounted on a horse, if only because the dog would be right there with her if too much attention came her way. She entered the classroom warily, her eyes flying from the male teacher at the front of the room to the rows of empty desks. With the Shiloh shepherd quietly at her side, Amy slipped into the room, to the spot the furthest from the door, in the back row.
A quiet word from her, and the shepherd lay down beside her chair, next to the wall. She pulled out a notebook and a pencil, just in case they would be expected to take notes, then spent the rest of the time before class began running her fingers through the soft hair on Wolf's ruff, tracing patterns in the sable fur. Even though she had to lean forward to reach the dog, she didn't ask him to sit up, knowing that she'd rather avoid the stares from anyone that hadn't seen the canine around class before.

Blythe left the lunchroom early for once, unsure of what she would be facing with this new teacher, but guessing that arriving late for the first day would be a definite way to earn more work. Even though trail was rumoured to be mainly mounted, the class hadn't had a teacher since she joined the academy, so she was just as willing to have a classroom setting. Perhaps the new teacher would be hot, that would make the whole thing so much more bearable.
As she found the right classroom, she eyed the many choices of seats she had, then sat front and centre. The teacher wasn't half bad, she decided, definitely not old enough or gross enough to warrant moving away from the seat where she would be able to be seen from almost anywhere. She leaned back against her chair, stretching out her legs and crossing them, as she waited for the rest of the class. There were still a few minutes to go before the class started, she had apparently left really early, but whatever. Once in a while wouldn't hurt her reputation, and she knew too many tardies would get back to her father... Something she definitely did not want happening.

Serenity left the cafeteria and headed to Yellow House to get changed for her mounted classes. She knew that trail class was going to be in one of the classroom of the equine course building, but she still wanted to get changed into jodhpurs first anyway so that she would be ready for her mounted classes.
Leaving the House, she headed to the building and walked down to the classroom she had been told to go to and walked in. She knew she wasn't late, but she could see that she wasn't the first to arrive either. Giving the teacher a smile, she headed amongst the desks and walked over to the one beside where Amy was sitting. "He could sit in the aisle between us if Wolf would like a little more room." She said with a smile as she sat down and pulled out a notebook and pen. She didn't know if they needed to take notes, but she always came prepared - and this way she could doodle while their teacher spoke, maybe even write a spell or two. Her lips curved at that thought but she didn't say anything.
She leaned slightly closer to Amy. "New teacher, new style of learning I guess." She said softly.
When Mr Bales, spoke up, Reni arched an eyebrow, hoping that the man didn't expect them to reply to his greeting like first graders.
Light of eye and soft of touch, speak ye little, listen much. Merry Meet and Merry Part bright the cheeks and warm the heart.

Cortney strolled out of the cafeteria after lunch. She debated heading back to her room to get changed for riding, but as her first class was an unmounted one, she opted against riding clothes and headed over to the building where the class was to be held in her cheer uniform. She had riding clothes in Olé's locker and she could get changed quickly before she had to mount up for her next class.
Walking into the room, her eyes swept over the students already seated and she debated between sitting with her dorm mate and Amy, but as the latter already had company, she walked across the room to where Blythe was seated and threw herself into the chair at the table next to the other girl. "Hey, sister." She greeted warmly as she pulled a notebook and pen out of her bag.
For the first time since entering, she actually looked toward the front of the room at the teacher. "Ah, so that explains why you're sitting here." She commented. "Not a lot of places he can go without seeing you, or us as the case now may be." She flashed a grin toward the other girl and dropped her voice slightly. "Any idea why we're not in the saddle?"

Tommy stretched his arms back and above his head, feeling his shoulders pop with the stretch before he bent down, grabbed his bag from the door of the gym, and headed out into the fresh air. He had chosen to play basketball rather than eating lunch that day, and as he headed toward his next class he was beginning regret it. He pressed his lips together and wondered if the teacher would excuse tardiness on the excuse of dying of hunger, and quickly shook the thought out of his mind as he walked into the classroom and looked around.
He was a little surprised to see four females already sitting at the tables... well at least he knew three of them were female, one he still had his doubts about. He flashed his twin a grin before he walked over to a table between the windows and where a pretty blonde was sitting, who had a cheerleader on the other side of her. Flopping down in the chair he pulled out an empty notebook that he had chosen at random off his shelf that morning and dug though his bag until he found a pen, and then had to dig some more to find one that actually worked. If anyone looked at the state of his bag, the would wonder how he kept his dorm room so clean.

Alaina laid on her bed, her head was propped up with a pillow that was covered in realtree camouflage with hot pink piping. Her knees where bent up and she had the latest version of the equine chronicle resting on her thighs. She flipped each page as she assessed all of the show ads and recognized many people that she knew. She loved looking at all the horses, the fancy saddles, the bling, each ad was a reminder of just why she love showing pleasure horses, and how much she couldn't wait for her gelding Cody to arrive.
Alaina glanced over at her digital alarm clock and quickly jumped up to her feet as she realized she was late for the first day of class.. She looked around for her favorite pair of square toed boots but quickly realized that they were probably shoved under her bed. She scurried to the floor and reached under the bed, pulling the boots out one by one. She quickly slipped them on her feet and ran out the door.
She briskly walked down the sidewalk and entered the building that her class was in and walked down the hall looking for her classroom. She pulled the door open and glanced at the teacher and gave a half smile and she picked a seat that was behind all of the other students. She placed her notebook and her organizer on the desk and gently folded her hands over them.
