Shine a light through an open door
Full Name>>Willow Rose Allaire
Nicknames>>Will
Age>> February 12; 15
Staff or Student>> Student
House>> Yellow Ribbon House
Gender>> Female
Sexuality>> Heterosexual
Face Claim>> Kaya Scodelario
Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Willow spends most of her life nowadays protecting herself, trying to take back control of her messy existence. She keeps people at arms length by often passively making rude and sarcastic remarks, and just generally being unpleasant to be around. When she does make a friend, she will often say or do something to light the fuse for a fight. At least that way she’s the one in control of the outcome, even if the outcome isn’t favorable. She’d much rather spend her time by herself with a book or with her horse, and when forced to spend time with others, often is visibly miserable. She acts as if she has no regard for others or herself, though in reality her brutally cold demeanor is a cry for help after having her innocence stripped away too early too quickly.
Likes>> trail riding; books; writing; dancing; being outside
Dislikes>> chaos; small talk; being judged; waking up past 9am; big crowds
Fears>> getting on academic probation; having an emotional connection with someone
Hopes>> doing well in school; having an emotional connection with someone
Secrets>> Sexually assaulted at age 12
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Willow has long, dark chestnut hair that runs in loose waves down to the bottoms of her shoulder bones, whose angles mimic the narrow yet sharp angles that give Willow’s face its unique and rare beauty. Her inquisitive eyes, always lined and enhanced with a perfect blend of natural colors, are too blue to be grey, yet too grey to be blue. Standing at 5’7”, Willow has a long, slender body with lines any ballerina would envy, though Willow’s appealing shape is merely the result of good genes. Willow’s posture and grace with her body show a physical maturity beyond her age, but the girlish smile that she rarely allows to soften her face reveals the young teenager she is.
Markings>> Nothing to note
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> Nothing to note
Criminal History>> N/A
Full History>> Willow, the result of a teenage pregnancy statistic, was placed with her adoptive family before she was even born and grew up feeling that she wasn’t good enough and wasn’t wanted. She was raised in a family where her older sister had so many medical issues there was never any time for Willow’s parents to notice anything more than her grades. She grew up with essentially absent parents feeling that her sense of worth came from being academically successful. Not being a natural genius, Willow has always had to work hard for her grades and for her parents’ acceptance and attention. After spending all of elementary school and middle school on the honor roll, her parents agreed to let her lease her first pony.
What Willow’s parents didn’t know was that Willow’s need for more attention led to her hanging out with the wrong crowd, even as young as she was in sixth grade, which led to Willow’s sexual assault that happened when she was only twelve. Being young and naïve, she didn’t recognize it as such and thus hid it from the world. She took back control of her life by spinning it out of control. She lost her friends, and she lost her grades. Her parents, only noticing her dropping marks, then ended the lease on the pony. While Willow’s social life was still in shambles, she picked up her grades with the hopes of feeling a sense of self worth again. Her parents, too busy with her sister to notice the chaos that was their daughter’s life, rewarded the rising grades with another horse and decided that their miserable daughter simply needed a change of scenery, one that might look good on a college application. Thus, Willow finds herself at Blue Ridge Riding Academy.
