Registered Name>> Twice Around Barn Name>> Chazy Year of Birth>> 2000 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Frisian Sporthorse Breed Registry>> FSA
Coat Colour>> Amber Champagne Stable Colour>> Dark Green Height>> 15.3 hh
Personality>> Powerful and bold, Chazy is very willing to work over fences for anyone at anytime or just run around the trails for a few hours. Chazy is just very open to most things and willing to try new things for fun. He is just a very friendly and outgoing horse to be around. No need for treats, as he doesn't know to look for them yet (although he'd learn quickly if they were offered!), so scratches will do. Rider Level>> Advanced
Basic History>> Chazy was bought by this older women, with plans to train and show him. They went pretty far as a pair, thanks a lot to Chazy's natural talent and the woman's fine-tuning of his skills. However, when his owner was diagnosed with cancer, Chazy was the biggest investment that she had. She resisted selling him, but eventually could no longer afford to not sell him, and thus, to Blue Ridge he came.
Assigned Student>> Discipline (Level)>> Show Jumping (Advanced), Dressage (Advanced)
Registered Name>> Gentleman Tophat Barn Name>> Donovon Year of Birth>> 2002 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Dutch Warmblood Breed Registry>> N/A
Coat Colour>> Bay Stable Colour>> Royal Blue Height>> 16.3 hh
Personality>> Donovan is a sweet horse, used for teaching the basics of Eventing to beginning riders. He’s a charm, a fact agreed upon by all of his riders. At just under seventeen hands, he’s really a sweet-faced gentle giant with absolutely no bite or buck to him. Rider Level>> Beginner
Basic History>> Bought at an auction without papers, history unknown.
Assigned Student>> Discipline (Level)>> Eventing - Dressage (intermediate). Show Jumping (intermediate) .Cross Country (intermediate)
The Basics Show Name: Wishful Thinking Barn Name: Wishful Age: 10 years Gender: Gelding Breed: Gelderlander Breed Registry: KWPN-NA
The Appearance Coat Color: Black Stable Color: Sky Blue Height: 17.2 HH
The Personality Personality: Wishful is a calm, easy to ride, but excitable Cross Country horse. He’s a tough competitor, but he tends to rush things sometimes, and is best for an Intermediate rider, as his temperament is too hyper for a beginner and not willing enough for the difficult Advanced jumps that the advanced horses and riders love. Wishful is a horse who can be slightly unpredictable at times, so be sure you are ready to handle him if you choose him. Caution: Slightly unpredictable, rushes jumps
The History Basic History: Brought in by a student, left at the school after a family emergency pulled the student away.
The Technicalities Discipline: Cross Country Owner: BRRA Assigned Student:
Registered Name>> Twenty One Guns Barn Name>> Gunner Year of Birth>> 2003 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Thoroughbred Breed Registry>> Jockey Club
Coat Colour>> Bay Stable Colour>> Dark Slate Blue Height>> 16.3 hh
Personality>> Gunner is very spirited, and thus needs a bold hand, and needs to be kepts busy while being ridden. He loves jumping above all other things, and will often try to jump over jumps out of order, or even while being worked on the flat, if there are any set up. He does have a good side, and that shows when he is being led, during which time he is an absolute dear. Rider Level>> Intermediate-Advanced
Basic History>> Gunner was born in Maine, then sold when it was discovered that he was a bay. His owners had wanted a seal brown colt, and decided that Gunner had no future in racing anyway. The trailer transporting the foal crashed, and he escaped into Maine. Riker found the foal. Once both were back to normal, Riker trained Gunner up to adulthood. When Riker had to leave the school, Gunner passed into the ownership of the academy.
Assigned Student>> Discipline (Level)>> Eventing - Dressage (intermediate). Show Jumping (advanced).Cross Country (advanced)
The Personality Personality: Joker is considered a crazy horse. He is full of energy and is not ridden or shown enough, so therefore, he has become a problem. He is constantly acting like a child and bucks and kicks out under saddle. Some say he’s a rogue, others say he’s only being playful. Caution: If not ridden for a while, he gets roguish
The History Basic History: He was born, raised and trained on an Arabian ranch. He’s been shown in many long, grueling races, but was retired to stud when he was seven. Retired life has not suited him well. His owners believe him to be insane, and just want him gone. The academy bought him and gelded him, and found that cross country races were a perfect place for him to release pent-up energy.

The Basics Show Name: Mayday Madness Barn Name: May Age: 9 years Gender: Mare Breed: Morab Breed Registry: Purebred Morab Horse Association and Registry
The Appearance Coat Color: Red Bay Stable Color: Red Height: 15.2 HH
The Personality Personality: May is a very laid back horse, and will happily plod around the arena with a beginner on her back, while later that day give a more advanced student a good ride. She's totally bombproof, and doesn't get spooked by anything. She does have a habit of 'dancing' around while she is in the cross-ties unattended, although she stands still when she is being groomed. Caution: N/A
The History Basic History: Bred at a Morab stud farm, May's parents were chosen hoping that the calm disposition of both horses would carry through to their child. May was handled from an early age, to get her used to people before she was backed at the age of three.
The Technicalities Discipline: Jumping (all forms of), Basic Dressage Owner: BRRA Assigned Student:
The Basics Show Name: Wind Whistler Barn Name: Whistler Age: 14 years Gender: Gelding Breed: Fell Pony Breed Registry: The Fell Pony Society of North America
The Appearance Coat Color: Dapple Grey Stable Color: Dark Red Height: 13.2 HH
The Personality Personality: Whistler is a wonderful pony, who loves all the attention he can get. Along with the normal "defiant pony" act, he will happily go with the flow - when and if he feels like it. When he wants to though, he can throw a fit if he doesn't want to do what is being asked of him. For example: If his rider wants to train in jumping and he wants to have a lazy day. Caution: Can be ridden on the flat by beginners, but needs at least an intermediate rider for jumping.
The History Basic History: Whistler has been there and done that. He spent his early years - after harsh training which included rapping- as a top-of-the-line jumping pony. Finally though he decided that he'd had enough and no matter how hard his rider hit him, he began to drop poles repeatedly. He then went from home to home until he found himself at BRRA.

The Basics Show Name: Thanh Barn Name: Thorn Age: 10 years Gender: Mare Breed: Arabian/Oldenburg Breed Registry: N/A
The Appearance Coat Color: Brown Stable Color: Tomato Height: 16.2 HH
The Personality Personality: Her temperament is that of most mares; kind, sweet, gentle, until she comes into heat. Her talent is one of the more moderate levels, so she can be handled by a beginner, but it’s not recommended. An intermediate rider is ideal for her, as advanced riders will find her too easy to ride. She’s patient if her rider knows what they’re doing, but if they don’t, she’s likely to act up. Caution: N/A
The History Basic History: Bought from a riding school that was going out of business. It is believed that she was bred for the height and jumping ability of an Oldenburg, and the dished, elegant features and endurance of an Arabian, a goal which was achieved. It is unknown why her breeders gave her up.

The Basics Show Name: Taking A Dare Barn Name: Daredevil Age: 10 years Gender: Mare Breed: Trakehner Breed Registry: American Trakehner Association
The Appearance Coat Color: Bay Stable Color: Coral Height: 16.2 HH
The Personality Personality: The pretty mare is obviously a jumping horse, and is an excellent jumper at that. She’s friendly and a bit hyper, ready to work at whatever time you choose. Daredevil is a horse for beginner riders, since she’s more of a friendly and gentle creature, and the Intermediate and the advanced jumps are a bit dangerous for her, as she tends to rush them and nick her forelegs or hind legs. Her temperament is, as said, completely trusting and totally willing, so she’s a responsive and diligent mount. Caution: N/A
The History Basic History: Bought at an auction, brought to Blue Ridge as a school horse.
The Basics Show Name: Faerie Realm Barn Name: Titania Age: 5 years Gender: Mare Breed: Gypsy Vaneer Breed Registry: Gypsy Horse Registry of America
The Appearance Coat Color: Skewbald Stable Color: Salmon Height: 15.2
The Personality Personality: Even at her young age, Titania is a very well trained show horse. She excels in jumping (hunter, show and stadium) and dressage, but has no trouble covering a cross country course as well. As all mares, she can be a touch temperamental at times, but other than that has a lovely nature. Caution: Suggested as a mount for advanced-intermediate to advanced riders as she is young and flighty.
The History Basic History: Aishe purchased the Vanner as a foal. She missed her own roots and needed to feel close to her people again so she found a small gangly filly in an auction and fell in love instantly. Every inch of the filly's training was done by the gypsy herself, done in the traditional Romany way - completely bareback until the filly could follow any instruction with the slightest of aids. Due to her hectic schedule, Aishe donated her as a school mount.

The Basics Show Name: Silver Fire Barn Name: Ember Age: 6 years Gender: Mare Breed: Welsh/Thoroughbred Breed Registry: N/A
The Appearance Coat Color: Silver Dun Stable Color: Orange Red Height: 14.1 HH
The Personality Personality: Ember is a typical mare, she's stubborn and moody. On the ground she is pushy seems to have no manners at all. In the saddle, she is flighty and can seem unresponsive to any aids, if you touch her with a crop you will find yourself on the ground and don't even think about trying to mount again (she's not scared of them so her rider can carry one, she just doesn't like being reprimanded). However, Ember does have her good days and on those days all her professional training comes out and she's the perfect mount. No matter what she's like toward her rider, she doesn't kick out or nip at other horses. It is thought that her life after leaving her first home has brought on this new attitude toward being handled and ridden. Caution: Don't touch her with a crop.
The History Basic History: Ember was born at a riding barn, her dam (a Welsh pony) being one of their best show ponies (in jumping and dressage) was the reason for the breeding. Her sire (a small Thoroughbred), was from a neighbouring farm and had also competed well so the pairing was perfect for a top show pony. Right from day one, Ember was surrounded by people who loved her to bits (including all the children who rode at the barn).
Her training started pretty much straight away and she was taught all the basics (halter, lead, picking feet, tying up). At the age of 2.5 she was introduced to the saddle and the real training began (jumping, dressage and mounted games since she was so neat on her feet). She was 4 before she moved to her next home; the barn hosted a show one day and a girl who was competing saw the young mare and insisted that she take the pony home.
The two very competitive personalities didn't get along well and Ember quickly found herself in a new home. After another six homes, Ember found her way to Blue Ridge.

Registered Name>> The White Rabbit Barn Name>> Rabbit Year of Birth>> 2001 Sex>> Gelding Breed>> Thoroughbred Breed Registry>> Jockey Club
~APPEARANCE
Coat Colour>> Dominant White Sabino (registered as "White") Stable Colour>> Royal Blue Height>> 16.2 hands
~PERSONALITY
Personality>> Rabbit is a pleasant horse to be around. He has a nice attitude, and is really a gentleman. He likes to play games, and is very clever. He gets bored easily, so he has an array of toys for him to play with when he’s in his stall. Rabbit has a tendency of rolling whenever he goes outside, which is rather unfortunate considering his color. He stays rugged in the winter since his coat doesn’t grow out much, and it keep him cleaner, and a fly sheet in the warmer months. When it comes to riding, Rabbit is on the calmer side and would rather stay collected, but when asked he can get very fast. He is a very scopey jumper, but more so careful, and very clean. His movements are gorgeous and fluent, with long striding and a floating trot. He gets along rather well with other horses. Caution>> Deer, flags, and banners
~HISTORY
Basic History>> Rabbit was born on a thoroughbred breeding farm in New York, and was trained there in hunter/jumper and dressage. Once he’d been trained sufficiently, he was bought by the Becca Walsh and her family. Along with him came Red Friday Night, who was also born and trained on the same farm, though Frye was for Kaitlin. Rabbit and Becca immediately got on very well, and Becca would ride him every day, galloping through the fields on their Vermont farm and jumping him often. She didn’t compete with him, preferring to stay off of the show circuit, but their bond was very strong. When Kaitlin died, Becca was forced to start riding Frye as well, to avoid him being sold, and then left with him to go to Blue Ridge. She would have loved to bring Rabbit along, but knew that Frye needed her more. Becca eventually brought Rabbit to Blue Ridge as well, but found that it was in neither of their best interests for him to be in her hands, due to the direction she was taking with her riding and the attention that Frye needed. She decided to donate him to Blue Ridge Academy so that he could be ridden by others, and perform to the best of his abilities.

The Basics Show Name: The Twilight Hour Barn Name: Twilight Age: 12 years Gender: Mare Breed: Morgan Breed Registry: American Morgan Horse Association
The Appearance Coat Color: Dark Bay Stable Color: Plum Height: 15.5 HH
The Personality Personality: Twilight is smart, and doesn't she know it! She excels in what she does, once you have convinced her that she really wants to do. On days when she decides that she doesn't want to work there is nothing you can do to change her mind and she is a complete loon when you use artificial aids to do this. She is fine with her rider holding a crop or dressage whip, but you even try and get on her while wearing spurs. Caution: Do not ride with spurs.
The History Basic History: Twilight was born on a family farm, her training was carefully planned out and executed by a skilful trainer. However, when the family's matriarch passed away, all of the horses were sold off. Twilight was quickly picked up by Blue Ridge Academy to join their collection of eventing horses.
The Technicalities Discipline: Eventing Owner: BRRA Assigned Student:
The Basics Show Name: Darkest Hour Barn Name: Timetable Age: 8 years Gender: Gelding Breed: Dutch Warmblood Breed Registry: KWPN-NA
The Appearance Coat Color: Bay Stable Color: Magenta Height: 17 HH
The Personality Personality: He’s a talented animal, and was well trained. Since he’s eight years old, he has plenty of time to become a champion. Timetable is a business like horse, and doesn’t play games, however… He’s an advanced jumper and could get frustrated with beginner or intermediate jumps. He expects a rider who likes a challenge as much as he does. Caution: Is known to throw fits when put over anything he feels it too easy.
The History Basic History: Raised at an eventing home, sold on when the trainer moved away.
The Technicalities Discipline: Eventing (Strongest in Cross Country) Owner: BRRA Assigned Student: Bradley Grey (Equestrian Team Reserve-Mount)
