The Personality
Personality: Popeye is a very skittish horse. Any sudden movements can set him off. He is a very smart horse, and learns quickly. If he is scared of something just take him up to it. He finds comfort in people. When he is out on a course he becomes one track minded, he only focuses on the job, nothing else. He is a spunky gelding none the less. Popeye is what Sam likes to call 'orally focused'. He tries to put his lips on anything, and if you know him well enough, you. Though he isn't known for actually biting you, he may just tease you and rub his lips on you, and occasionally nibble Sam.
Caution Around:Muddy water, his mouth, plastic bags, tents, and loud dogs.
The History
Basic History: Popeye's mother was bought by a small family in Texas. They were not aware of the mare being pregnant so they had to sell mare and foal. Immediately after the foal was weaned he was sold to a man that raised foal's then sells them at an auction. After that he went to a large stable in Indiana where he was green broke, and trained in Hunter/Jumper. He was spotted by Samantha's father. He had long legs, great conformation and a heart. Ever since he has been with Sam and her father.
