Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Malachi is outgoing and spontaneous, always looking for the next big thrill. He doesn't settle in one place for too long, but isn't the type to up and leave after a few months. He is very passionate about his riding, and doesn't let anything deter him from his chosen path. Malachi loves his privacy, and very rarely lets anyone into his home, or ask about his past, not that he has anything to hide. He doesn't talk about himself very often, and prefers to keep it that way. He is very indifferent to relationships, and although he would love to settle down before he turns forty, he doesn't want to do that with just anyone. He can't be termed the helpless romantic either. He has an extremely high tolerance level, which has come from working with some very high strung horses, and he tries to apply it to his everyday life as well. He doesn't show emotion very well, often very stoic, but can termed an introvert in that sense.
Likes>> Reading, running, peace and quiet, classical music, animals, comfortable saddles
Dislikes>> Loud children, lack of respect, babies, one night stands, drinking
Fears>> Death, heartache
Hopes>> To find someone to love, make the Olympic team for the next Olympics.
Secrets>> He doesn't make his sexuality known to others.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Hair: Malachi has hair which most people can only dream of having. Fantastically thick, wavy locks, dark brown in colour, he rarely ever cuts it. Often, due to lack of time, he doesn't shave for a few days, causing the same dark brown stubble to grow out. Either way, the hair makes or breaks his look.
Eyes: Dark, soulful eyes with emotion and depth. When he is stoic and appearing to be unemotional, his eyes will tell a different story. They appear older than Malachi's age, and seem to have a wealth of knowledge and loss inside of them. More that he has seen and experienced loss and grief during his teenage years.
Build: Standing at around 1.87m, he is a tall gentleman, but isn't muscular. He is lanky and refined, a typical equestrian, always standing straight and walking tall. He doesn't weigh much, and can be deemed a little underweight, coming in at about 70-75kgs.
Clothing: Very much the smart-casual type of dress sense. Dark jeans with a button down shirt, varying to jeans and band t-shirt. Always very well dressed, and despite working with horses, manages to stay clean most of the time. Relies on his appearance as he knows this is what gives people their first impression of him. His shoes are always clean and polished and his sneakers never dirty. Hardly ever wears shorts except sometimes in summer when he isn't working.
Markings>> Has a tattoo of a dragon on his right leg, starting at about his ankle and winding it's way up to his knee. Hardly seen unless he is wearing shorts. Also has part of his mother's favourite poem on his left ribs. Has started getting a tattoo on his back of phoenix, but is incomplete as of yet.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> Was treated for depression when he was seventeen; broke his arm when he was ten.
Criminal History>> n/a
Full History>> Malachi was born in a small town just outside of Cardiff, Wales. His parents were happily married, and he never wanted for anything. They traveled a lot, and Malachi never spent more than a year in any one place. When he was ten, they finally settled in London. This was also around the time that Malachi was introduced to horses and riding. He helped his mother volunteer at a local rescue organisation, and a few months in they rescued an old grey pony, who Malachi helped look after. It wasn't long after that his parents adopted the plucky little welsh pony and Malachi started riding.
The pony was renamed to Gryphon and was the reason that Malachi broke his arm in his very first fall. Lessons later, and add another pony to the string, Malachi started competing in the childrens classes. His main interest was dressage and showing, never caring for the glamour of show jumping. As time progressed, he started riding better quality horses, winning more, training harder. In the summer he rode around Europe, gaining valuable experience and knowledge.
A few months before his 17th birthday, his mother passed away in a car accident and his father was in a coma for a month. He was taken care of by his family, but he was depressed and lacked the gusto that he had always had in life. He was treated, and eventually returned to riding. By the time he left school, he had moved to Germany and was riding full time. He has been competing full time for about 15 years, and was tired with the hustle and bustle, although he still plans to qualify for the Olympics. On his move to the States, he has picked up teaching to when he isn't riding.
We found love in a hopeless place
