The Personality
Personality: On a scale of -10 to +10, Shy can run anywhere from a -2 to a +5 depending on the day. One ride is never quite like the next with this brilliant gelding. He was bred for looks and for speed, and that comes to his advantage when he's in the ring. Everything about this horse is flashy, and he loves being in front of a crowd. A show stopper, an attention getter, a spotlight stealer-- he can do it all. Depending on the day though, in training, he could be quite the grumpy little bum. He may or may not want to be on the bit, on the leg, on the rail... basically, he does what he wants. Some days are lazy, some days are entirely off the handle. It all depends on how he's feeling that particular day. He's got a mind of his own, and that isn't always a good thing. This is a horse that's far too smart for his own good.
Caution Around: making sure both of the latches on his stall are all the way done, else he'll undo the one he can reach.
The History
Basic History: Chelsea watched Shy perform for about six months before purchasing him off another racer in the circuit. He took up the entirety of the money she put away to buy a new truck (and a matching gift from her parents), but since the second she saw this gelding she knew she had to have him. He was never professionally trained, but the hands he was in before hers were darn good ones. Though the pair was only able to get hooves on the dirt once before Chelsea had to leave for school, it was a first place finish and she's sure there will be plenty more where that came from. They've only been together for a short period of time, and Chelsea is already head over heels for her new mount.
