Personality>> Summed up in one word, Hannah is a meek person. She is very quiet and shy upon first meeting. Even after she gets to know you, she is a more quiet and laid back person. The positives to this is she gets along with most people, but the drawback is she is easily run over. However, she is very protective of animals and is quick to defend them. She cannot stand to see anyone hurt them. She is very intelligent and lights up in the classroom. She is very studious and prefers to have order in her life. She doesn't easily show her true emotions although she is kind and polite to everyone. She has very few people she trust, and even with them she finds it hard to open up.

Appearance>> Hannah stands at 5’3” and weighs 120 lbs. She has a soft olive complexion that tans more in the summer, but stays slightly tanned all year long. She has a short thin build with a long neck, muscled legs, slender arms, and supple curves (although she tries to hide them with baggy clothes). She has almond shaped green eyes under her thinly arched eyebrows, a long long, and amply thick peach lips placed above a narrowly pointed chin. Her naturally light brown hair comes down to the middle of her back in very soft waves when it is not placed up in a pony tail for the barn. She has a beautiful genuine smile that shows straight white teeth.

Full History>> Hannah was born to Wade and Sarah Pettis on January 3, 2000. Her mom was legally diagnosed with Borderline Personality disorder, and left shortly after Hannah turned three years old. She was the only child and was left with her poor excuse of a father. Her dad appeared to have it together on the outside, but when at home alone with his daughter, he took out his anger upon her and also used her for his unmet sexual desires. Wade told her that no one would believe her because he was well known in their community. So instead, Hannah bottled everything inside. They lived on the outskirts of town and their next door neighbor, Mrs. Trina, had a few horses. Anytime her dad wasn’t home, Hannah spent her time with the horses and eventually was allowed to groom them and ride them for doing chores. This was Hannah’s only happiness and the horses were the only ones to know her deep dark secret. At school, Hannah was extremely intelligent, although she always had to lie about the bruises and persuade her teachers that she was just clumsy. She told them it was from working with the horses. On her tenth birthday, her dad gave her his “birthday present”. After being ruthlessly raped by her dad that morning, Hannah ran to the field with the horses before school. For some reason, this morning she was not able to hold back the tears and sorrow. Without thinking, she led her favorite horse, Diva, over to the fence and attempted to climb on. Spooked by Hannah’s abnormal behavior, the mare lurked sideways, throwing Hannah off balance and onto the ground. In the shuffle, Diva accidentally stepped on her wrist. Luckily for her, Mrs. Trina had just came out of the barn and saw the entire thing and rushed her to the ER. Long story short, the doctors found bruises from the rape that morning and called her Aunt (her dad’s sister). A social worker was called in and the truth came out. Her Aunt took her dad to court and he was eventually put in jail.
Hannah broke down during this time and would have nightmares every night. For seemingly no reason, she would have full panic attacks. She also began to have difficulties with talking to her male teachers at school. When her Aunt took her to see a therapist, it was determined she had PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) at age 12. So the last two years has been filled with counseling and working through all the emotions of what she has been through. So needless to say, her Aunt has become her hero and the first person she has ever trusted aside from Mrs. Trina. Despite it all, Hannah wants nothing more than to get over her past and help others do the same. To help with her anxiety, Hannah’s counselor helped her receive her psychiatric service dog, Soraya. Soraya has helped tremendously with her anxiety and helps her managed everyday stresses and issues. On her 13th birthday, her Aunt her Greyson, an eight year old dappled gray TB mix gelding. They boarded him up until this point at a local stable where Hannah did barn chores to receive riding lessons. At the beginning of this summer Hannah and her Aunt decided it was time for Hannah to find a school where she could go and advance her riding and equestrian skills. She wishes to one day run a therapeutic riding stable for foster care children. They found out about Blue Ridge and Hannah has been eagerly awaiting to start her freshmen year here. She is hoping for a new start where she can forget her past and move forward.

She can be goofy when at home and always seems to make Hannah laugh. She is very sensitive to Hannah's emotions and is quick to jump to her side. She also will guide Hannah away from people and crowds if she senses her anxiety increasing.
History>> Soraya was born with her other 4 sisters to a family who bred German Shepherd puppies and gave them to various service dog facilities. She ended up at Guardian Angels and at one years old she was paired with Hannah and began her training. She has been trained to sense and Alert Hannah if her anxiety is rising, to perform deep pressure therapy or "grounding", to stay close and "cover" Hannah when needed, wake her from nightmares, and also awake her for class if her medicines have made her too sleepy.
