Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Kennedy is a leader. She is an outgoing and ‘take charge’ type of person. She’s a ‘doer’ who lives in a world of action, though she’s learned to ‘balance’ herself and takes time every so often to just sit back, relax, and take in the little things in life.
She’s a risk-taker who plunges straight in without fear of repercussions. Blunt and straight-forward, she’s always willing to dive right in and get her hands dirty. She’s the type of person who looks, decided what needs to be done, and gets it done, no matter what it takes.
Kenna is a very intelligent, thoughtful girl who always seems to have something she wants to do or try. She’s very book-smart, though she doesn’t typically try to impress her teachers; she’s rather use her brains for other, more active things. To her, rules and laws aren’t there to control, but rather, they’re there as simple ‘guidelines’ for behavior, rather than mandates. She tends to listen to her emotions a lot of the time and it has gotten her into trouble once or twice.
Kennedy has a flair for style, be it hair, clothing, or accessories. She enjoys shopping almost as much as she enjoys spending time with her gelding! She has an appreciation for jewelry, especially and lives to find cute or fashionable things for a low price. Her style can change from day to day.
Growing up with two brothers, Kennedy is good at storytelling and improvising when the situation calls for it. In life itself, she makes things up as she goes along rather than following a set plan. She’s fun to be around and enjoys the company of others.
Because she gets bored with theory easily, Kennedy sometimes has trouble staying focused at school and can easily find herself doodling during class or outright falling asleep! Though intelligent, school can easily become a chore. She’s not that great of a follower, though that’s something she just has to work on.
Likes>> Motorcycling, rock-climbing, blueberry bread pudding, walking Valerie (her cat), horseback-riding, jogging
Dislikes>> Reptiles, formal dinners, cleaning tack, Chihuahua’s, really hot weather
Fears>> Spiders, her uncle Darren (only when he’s drinking)
Hopes>> To compete at the highest levels with her gelding, to fall in love, get married, and eventually have children
Secrets>> She dated her cousin Jaime whilst knowing that he was, in fact, related to her.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Standing at five feet, five inches tall and weighing in at barely one-hundred and twenty pounds when soaking wet, Kennedy fits the visage for ‘petite’ perfectly. From the top, she has long naturally curly red hair and blue eyes that she often accents with dark mascara and eyeliner. Her face in unblemished, though lightly tanned and she rarely ever wears any sort of foundation. Lip-gloss is her friend and she won’t go out without putting some on and she always has a pair of earrings in.
She has a sweet smile that makes one believe her voice would be soft and gentle, but the reality is, her voice is rather different from what one would expect based on her looks. While not deep or rough by no means, it is slightly deeper than what you’d expect. Kennedy speaks in a way that she can be heard and she can be quite articulate when she wants to impress.
She has long dancers’ legs and is fairly graceful in general. Her fingers are long and tapered, like a pianists, but she’s never even sat at a piano, much less played one. Kenna keeps her nails shaped and painted (usually green, red, or blue) and, after years, she’s finally learned how to keep from breaking a nail while saddling up a horse.
As a general rule, Kennedy likes fashion and never goes anywhere nor rides (horse or motorcycle) without wearing some jewelry such as bracelets and/or a necklace or two. She likes things such as studded belts and jeans, bikers boots, and has a favorite leather jacket that she wears during cold weather.
Markings>> Kennedy has a long, thin scar along the underside of her forearm from where she had to have surgery to fix a bad break after being thrown from a horse several years ago. She has double piercings in both ears, but only ever wears one set of earrings at a time.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> She had the flu at a nine year old child and has since taken a flu shot every year. When she was eleven she broke her arm when her brothers decided to be funny and toss a lit bottle-rocket under the horses legs. It broke her arm in two places that required surgery to fix.
Criminal History>> She got her first speeding ticket just a few weeks ago.
Full History>> Born to Cassie and Alex Hunt Jr., and younger sister of Kurtis and Miles Hunt, Kennedy was the ‘accidental’ child of the family but she was no less wanted for it. In fact, she was very much loved by her parents and siblings and still is.
When her mother found out she was expecting a third child she was elated, especially after being told she could no longer have children after the complications that arose during her second pregnancy. The utmost care was taken to ensure that Kennedy be born healthy and alive, and, even though she was two months premature, she was indeed born healthy.
All her life, up until she was ten, Kenna was smaller than the other children. Smaller didn’t mean weaker, though. It couldn’t, not living with her two older brothers on their parents land in Ontario, Canada. Growing up, Kenna roughhoused with her brothers, worried her parents, and learned to love the outdoors. She was determined to do everything her brothers did and more, no matter what it took.
She was only seven the first time she ever sat astride a horse. After years of begging, pouting, and tantrums, her parents relented and she was led around the yard on her mother’s horse while her father took pictures from the sidelines. That one ride started it all. Lessons soon took over, and then turned into shows, and eventually, at the age of ten, Kennedy was allowed to go with her brothers and spend a few weeks of summer vacation on her aunt Vivienne and uncle Darren’s horse ranch in Montana, where she fell in love with horses all over again.
It was at the ranch that she learned on her uncle’s alcohol problem and violent temper, and she made it a goal in life to avoid him when he was drinking after witnessing him beat a horse bloody with a whip before turning his anger on his own son Jaime. When not drinking, her uncle was a great guy to be around, but he was beyond cruel when drunk. When Darren was sent to prison for jumping on an animal control officer, Kennedy was upset, as he was family, but was also relieved.
All her life in Canada, Kennedy attended an all-girl prep school. She thought she’d graduate from the school, but it wasn’t to be. When she was twelve her father quit his job as a college English professor, told the family to pack up, and moved them from their home in Canada to Montana, to live with his sister Vivienne and nephew Jaime and pursue his dream of writing. Kennedy and her brothers were enrolled in a co-ed public school, which she found she enjoyed, though the classes were, as usual, boring and dull.
That same year, just months after moving, Kennedy was sent to the emergency room after being thrown from her mother’s horse when her brothers decided to play a prank and tossed a lit firecracker under the horse’s hooves. The fall broke her forearm in two places and required surgery to fix… and her brothers got quite a tongue-lashing from their parents and were grounded all summer for endangering their sister like they did… The fall, while traumatic, didn’t deter Kennedy from horseback-riding and almost as soon as she was out of the hospital she was begging to ride again. She wasn’t allowed back on until the cast came off, though. To keep her company while she was injured, her parents allowed her to adopt an animal from the local shelter. Kenna decided on a cat, as dogs just aren’t her thing.
At fourteen her uncle got out of prison and came home. Kennedy avoided him at all costs at first, but slowly realized that he came home a changed man. AAA meetings had done him a lot of good, so it was with caution that she began getting to know him again. It was her uncle who showed her how to ride motorcycles and, even though Kennedy would always feel a hint of fear and caution around the man, she slowly cultivated an okay relationship with him based around their shared love of motorcycles. Also, that same year her parents decided she could finally own her own horse. They bought her a cremello Thoroughbred gelding whom she immediately fell in love with. When she turned sixteen, her uncle bought her a motorcycle, much to the dismay of her brothers and distress of her parents (who had bought her a truck and trailer to go with the gelding they’d gifted her two years prior). She actually got her first speeding ticket while riding it.
Shortly before her fifteenth birthday, Kennedy began spending a lot of time with her cousin Jaime. It was accidental at first that they two kissed… the parents and brothers were gone and left the two at home… and kids do tend to get into trouble. A little alcohol, a little teasing and flirting… you know how it goes. The second kiss, though, was completely planned. Kennedy and Jaime both knew what they were doing was wrong, but it felt good and as long as it didn’t go any further, everything was alright… right?
Wrong. Halfway through her fifteenth year, Kennedy woke up to reality. The parents were gone back to Canada for a few weeks and Jaime’s parents had left to visit the in-laws for a few days. Kurtis and Miles were both moved out, staying in town… Things had gone too far. Kennedy knew it the moment she opened her eyes and found herself in her cousin’s bed. Unclothed. With her cousin asleep beside her. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what had happened. When Jaime woke, he also realized what had happened, much to his horror. For weeks afterwards they couldn’t look each other in the eye and still, to this day, things are strained between them. Kissing your cousin in one thing, but sleeping with them puts things into a whole nother category.
As the year progressed, it became obvious to Kenna that she couldn’t stay living in her aunts home with her family. Things were just too awkward between her and Jaime. She began searching for options out, as he was also doing. By luck, she found BRRA online and pleaded with her parents to attend, though she never informed them of why she wanted to leave so badly. The finally agreed to let her attend after her sixteenth birthday, and now that it’s passed, Kennedy’s super excited and relieved to be attending.
We found love in a hopeless place
Pet Name>> Valerie
Registered Name>> n/a
Age>> 4
Gender>> Female
Species>> Feline
Breed>> Domestic Medium Hair
Registry>> n/a
Personality>> For the most part, Valerie is a housecat. She’s not a mouser, a barn-cat, an outside cat, or anything. She’s declawed, happy, and content to stay inside curled up on a bed or windowsill. She loves attention and enjoys chasing a laser pointer every now and then and she’s always up for sitting (or laying) in someone’s lap and enjoying the feel of a hand or brush scratching her back, under her chin, or between her eyes. She’s very vocal and it doesn’t take much to get her motor rumbling, and likewise, it’s easy to trip over her when she’s hungry, because she’ll let you know it!
History>> Valerie was dropped off at the animal shelter as a kitten along with her siblings and mother. Three of her four siblings didn’t survive and for a while it didn’t look like she was, as sick and malnourished she was when they were dropped off, but against the odds, she survived and was adopted soon after being given a clean bill of health.
In her new home, Val was allowed a life of luxury… She was destined to be a housecat and was likewise declawed, pampered, and petted on by her new owner. Her domain was Kennedy’s bedroom and rarely did she ever venture outside the walls. When she did, she came out proudly on the end of her leash and harness and she dictated where to go, not her human slave.
She eventually began to enjoy her walks with her human and started to accept them more and more, though she’s never felt the urge to venture outside alone. Valerie has met several animals during her short life and has tolerated them all with a sort of dignified grace, as though she’s the queen and everything and everyone else is below her… though she’s not adverse to having attention lavished on her and she seems to be under the misunderstanding that she calls the shots no matter where she goes…
