Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Chris is a patient and calm man. He takes great pride in caring for his friends and family, and tries to keep an open mind when meeting new people. Some call him nosy, but he considers himself to be outgoing-and perhaps a bit too curious. There's always a conversation subject when he's around. Regardless of his opinion on a person, Chris tries to encourage everybody he meets to be the good they want to see in the world. He's been called a goody two shoes as well, but he doesn't mind. It's in his nature to help others, which is why he opted to be a police officer in the first place. In spite of the bad he saw on a regular basis, he still believes there is good. Particularly in young adults and teens, which is why he came to Blue Ridge.
Likes>> Dogs, running, horses, helping others, flying planes
Dislikes>> Children under school age, blood, excessive heat, being unable to move, being the center of attention
Fears>> Public speaking, losing his best friend
Hopes>> Learn new skills, keep everybody safe
Secrets>> Has been divorced twice, both times he lost nearly everything.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Chris stands at approximately six foot one. He's about average in weight-not a stick, but not overweight. He has chestnut blonde hair that's often kept combed down. It reaches about a centimeter down his forehead, and is generally quite short. When he does let it grow out, it tends to end up spiked. Chris has the build of a runner, and his muscles aren't well defined. He prefers it that way, considering it less intimidating. He's often found wearing a dark jacket over a white button down shirt and dark slacks. If he's riding, he'll wear a light t-shirt and jeans. Regardless of the occasion, he always wears athletic shoes. His hazel eyes tend to look different in color depending on the light and distance they're viewed from.
Markings>> Two scars-one at the top of his shoulder (entry wound), the other about an inch to the right of his shoulder blade. Both are on the right side of his body.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> Broken right arm, broken right wrist, gunshot wound on right shoulder
Criminal History>> None
Full History>> Chris was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He was raised as a skier/snowboarder, and his parents expected him to continue on that path. But what changed his mind happened while he was snowboarding. He was attempting a simple front flip (something he'd done many times), and something went terribly wrong. He crashed down on his right side, breaking his arm and wrist. It wouldn't have bothered him if it hadn't been the last run, and nobody was expecting him back. The snow was far too powdery for him to get up without both arms, and he ended up being stuck there until the next morning. Deciding he never wanted to risk that again, Chris gave up snowboarding and skiing. A police officer-off duty-found him and took him to the hospital. They became good friends, and once Chris graduated high school, he went into the Academy. He soon discovered it was something he enjoyed greatly, and ended up on the police force, as a K9 officer. Everything went smoothly until he was thirty. It was a case of mistaken identity-Chris had been sent in undercover. There were snipers covering the house. He'd been told to be the last person out, if at all possible. Anything but the first. It had gone wrong, he was shoved out the door, and a nervous newbie took a shot. Chris ended up in the hospital, recovered, but found he couldn't do the job as well as before. He was let go the day before he turned thirty one. He's spent the time trying to figure out what to do with his life. His friend from the force-mentioned before-took him riding one day. He discovered that he loved horses, and began searching for a place he could be around horses and still be the law.
We found love in a hopeless place
Pet Name>> Ana
Registered Name>> None
Age>> 6
Gender>> Female
Species>> Canine
Breed>> German Shepherd
Registry>> None
Personality>> Ana is a sweet, playful, and extremely loyal dog. Once she decides she's loyal to somebody, it's difficult to take her away from that person. She knows when it's time to work and when it's time to play. When working, she was quick to react, quick to search, and quick to attack. In play, she's far more laid back. She isn't fond of other dogs, but she'll deal with them. She takes care of herself and her partner, whether her partner appreciates it or not.
History>> Ana was previously Chris's partner on the police force. She'd been born and raised for the job. Her job had been to sniff out criminals and drugs, depending on the situation. When Chris was injured on the job and eventually let go, she was still in the force. Her sense of smell had been vanishing as it was, and it seemed to vanish even faster once Chris was gone. Not only that, but she became depressed. Her partner of that time noticed and spoke with the officer in charge of the dogs. The police force ended up calling Chris and offered her to him. He accepted, and she's been his partner ever since.
