Full Name>> Torsten Victor Albretch

Staff or Student>> Student/Secretary Assistant

Gender>> Male
Sexuality>> Homosexual
Face Claim>> Bill Kaulitz
Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Torsten is a highly stimulating person to be around and he knows how to brighten and liven a place up if things get too dull or boring. He’s talkative and highly energetic, never seeing to run out of energy. In fact, he’s been compared to those energizer bunny batteries that just keep on going forever and forever… because that’s what he seems to do! He doesn’t have not one shy bone in his body and will reach out to anyone to get to know them, even if the entire conversation is one-sided.
Tori’s quick-witted, charming, and charismatic to be around. He easily attracts people and then has no problem keeping them captivated with the way he talks and uses his hands, arms, and general body language as extensions of his voice.
He loves his freedom and see’s life as an adventure. No matter the odds, Tori stays upbeat and optimistic, always looking into a brighter future. Because he has an addictive personality, he has to stay on top of his game and personal discipline is a necessity. Tori is one of those ‘try it once, get addicted’ types… He is easily hooked on things, whether good or bad, and has to stay focused else he might and will slip. His mind is constantly jumping from one thing to the other and he often gets caught doing several things at once without taking anyone completely in. Because of this, he is a bit of a dabbler, never committing fully to one particular hobby and having a vested interest in several different things.
He is strong-willed and a very proud person, though he’s not easy to read, and when he commits himself to someone, be it a friend or a lover, he commits fully and wholly and is fiercely loyal to the person and expects the same level of devotion or loyalty from the person he befriends or is in a relationship with. If his loyalty, trust, or devotion is ever betrayed, Tori is very much capable of hating that person with a passion, to the point of making their life miserable and retaliating with as much fervor as he once loved. He doesn’t half-ass anything and he definitely has a streak of emotional fanaticism about him. He also has a very strong affinity to animals.
Tori has a bit of an impatient streak and is constantly looking for results, getting frustrated when he can’t see any. He used to bite his nails but stopped that bad habit just last year, and he has been known to sleep a lot, sometimes coming to classes late or even missing them altogether! He is a perfectionist and many people think he talks too much, so it’s not uncommon for someone, be it adult, child, or someone his age to tell him to ‘shut up’. He’s not a morning person at all until he’s had at least three cups of coffee and, when pushed, he does have quite a mean temper, complete with cruel, quick-tonged sarcasm. He has a lot of nervous energy bundled tightly inside his body and is a little irresponsible.
Likes>> Warm weather, making friends, shopping, horseback-riding, music with an upbeat tone, strawberries, watching Disney movies, painting, looking good, watching cooking shows on television, swimming, taking long walks on the beach, lizards, changing up his eye-color on an almost day-to-day basis, laughing, ice-skating, gymnastics, stuffed animals
Dislikes>> Spiders, meat (he’s a vegetarian), ponies (after being kicked three times by a pony, you’d hate them too), suits, cold weather, maxing out his credit cards, electric cars, rude gas-station attendants, non-sporty styled vehicles, sad movies (they make him cry)
Fears>> Funnily enough, Tori is scared of clowns and has been since one allegedly ‘came at him’ when he was three. He’s also scared of heights such as when flying in a plane, though he loves roller-coasters and ‘thrill’ rides.
Hopes>> Torsten has a lot of hopes, and some of them may seem a little stupid, but they are his hopes, not anyone else’s… He wants to experience the feeling of kissing someone in the rain. He wants to make someone a birthday cake and have a water balloon fight with a bunch of friends. He wants to experience how it would feel to have a cute guy buy him a cup of coffee or dinner. Tori wants to experience the thrill of jumping off a waterfall… even though he’s scared of heights and would never do it by himself. He wants to see the Northern Lights and learn how to tie a knot in a cherry stem using his tongue.
Secrets>> Torsten has been beaten once by his biological father when he was thirteen after revealing to the man that he was gay. The man felt so badly about it afterwards that he refused to even see Tori for over a year and their relationship is strained and awkward now.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Torsten, or Tori, as he goes by, has been called several things throughout his life (it, he-she, she-he, shemale, etc…), but none of it has ever gotten him down too much. He knows who he is and is proud of it. Being born epicene and exemplifying more feminine traits that masculine traits, he’s spent his life being called a ‘He-she’ and a ‘She-he’ interchangeably. He doesn’t fit into gender stereotypes at all and doesn’t let what people think about him determine what he does in his life. He does what he wants, not what society thinks he should do, and he knows he can do and/or become whatever he wants in life as long as he has the determination and drive to succeed.
Mentally, Tori would consider himself more female than male, though he has all the male parts. He loves long hair and keeps his own black and blond locks fairly long and styled in a random, oftentimes flared out style that has caused comments such as ‘lions mane hair’ or just loose at times when his hair ‘decides to behave’ and lay straight. It’s also not uncommon for him to bun his hair or pull it up nto a high ponytail with some of the locks framing his face. His hair is soft and styles easily, holding sprays and gel much easier than some types of hair.
His eyes are a dark hazel-brown in color, though he wears contacts (not for his eyesight, but for the colors) so one day his eyes may be bright blue, the next green as the leaves of the trees in summer and so on and so forth. He owns over a hundred different colors of contact lenses and puts them to good use even though his natural eye-color is beautiful. Tori has a heart-shaped face with the soft curves of a woman instead of the hard, masculine contours of a man. He often wears eye-makeup such as dark eyeliner and eye-shadow in order to make his chosen eye-color pop and he’s been known to wear foundation to even out his complexion.
Black nail polish is a must-have and Tori nearly always has some sort of dark color on his nails. It’s rare for him to go natural, though not never seen. He has a love of the Gothic clothing style and it’s definitely his usual style, including skinny jeans, converse shoes, and fitted shirts that show off his slender and feminish build. He has a love of jackets like none other and owns over twenty-five different coats, from trench-coats to jean jackets to any and everything in-between.
Jewelry is another fashion accessory he’s never without. Tori seems to collect things such as bracelets, necklaces, earrings, bandana’s, belts, sunshades, and any other type of accessory he can find. He’s small-boned and has a very petite build considering he stands at a full five feet, ten inches tall. Tori’s weight totals at one-hundred and twenty pounds when he’s soaking wet and clothed.
Markings>> Tori has his ears pierced twice each, though only wears one set of piercings at a time most of the time. His tongue and eyebrow are pierced, but due to Blue Ridge’s standards, he’s taken them out most of the time, wearing them only when he’s not at the academy.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> Tori has been blessed with a great immune system and he’s never really gotten sick much during his life. He’s had a simple cold a few times and suffered through the Flu once in his life, when he was six (though, thanks to taking a Flu shot yearly ever since, he’s not had the Flu since). He has broken his left arm at the elbow twice now, once when he was three after tripping and falling down the front steps of his childhood home and once when he was nine during a gymnastics meet. After breaking the same elbow twice, his arm bends at an odd angle when fully extended now. At the age of eleven he broke his left ankle and busted the back of his head open during an ice skating incident.
Criminal History>> Since turning sixteen back in January and getting his license, Torsten has gotten stopped for speeding several times. Since he’s never gone to driving school after receiving a ticket, the black marks are slowly adding up. He only needs three more black marks on his record before his license will be pulled for six months to a year.
Full History>> Tori was blessed to be born right on time in a hospital in Berlin, Germany in late January. Born to parents Carsten and Julia Albretch nee Kuhn, Torsten was their first and only child. Allowed to come home with his parents on day three after his birth, he spent his first few years living in Germany, where he learned to crawl, toddle, walk, run and speak. His first few years were filled with typical childhood excitements and fun with both his mother and father. He learned that bee’s sting when aggravated. He learned that dogs were loud and cats were easily offended. He learned that a stove eye is hot right after it’s cut off and burns hurt no matter how small. Yes, Tori’s first few years were filled with learning adventures.
At three, two weeks before he was scheduled to start preschool, Tori was unlucky enough to trip over his mothers’ Chihuahua while running across the front porch and fall down the front steps, breaking his arm in the process. A few nights stay in the hospital and he was back home with a delightfully rainbow colored cast on his arm. Tori never thought of himself as different from anyone else. He liked what he liked, that was it.
Starting preschool was a huge adventure for the outgoing, effeminate boy. At three his more feminine personality was already shining through in his style of dress, attitude, and general look. Torsten didn’t have the sharper features of the other little boys, his features were softer, more feminish. He preferred to hang around the girls rather than the boys and could be found playing ‘house’ or dolls with the girls in his class instead of roughhousing with the boys during their free time.
Julia and Carsten’s love for their son didn’t waver in the slightest, regardless of how Tori acted, and they supported their child in whatever he wanted to do. Their own love, however, was diminishing even as their love for Tori grew. Shortly after he turned five, Julia and Carsten divorced, with Julia gaining custody of their son. Julia moved herself and Tori from Berlin to a smaller city, taking a job as a secretary at a hotel to support the small family. Carsten, still playing an active role in Tori’s life, stayed in Berlin where he had a good job, but sent the boy money and gifts on a regular basis and paid half of whatever Tori decided he wanted to try, be it gymnastics, ice-skating, cross-stitching, cooking, etc… Tori never felt unloved by either parent. He had their support and knew every day that he was loved.
It was the year he turned six that he truly fell ill for the first time in his life. The Flu hit hard and heavy that year and Tori was one of the first kids to catch it. He was hospitalized after becoming severely dehydrated due to not drinking a thing for several days and while in the hospital, the already small boy lost so much weight that even after getting better he was kept in the hospital for a month until his weight came back up.
As fate would have it, the nurse at the hospital, an American man named Pete Dutton, was destined to become his step-father. Pete took an avid interest in the effeminate-looking boy and an even greater interest in his mother Julia. To Pete, Tori was the sweetest child he’d ever met, always with a smile on his face and always happy and optimistic. Julia, on the other hand, appeared to Pete as a single, stressed mother who needed someone in her life to help her with the child she called ‘son’… because surely, raising a son who seemed to be more of a daughter had to be complicated.
Two years of dating and a move from Germany to the United States was in order before marriage was proposed and accepted. Tori grew to love Pete like another father, though he never forgot his true father and kept in touch with the man very regularly. Pete moved the family to New York, New York, where he took another job as a hospital nurse and Julia soon found another secretarial job. Tori was enrolled in school and below long had his new stepfather wrapped around his fingers so tightly that anything he requested, he got. He enrolled in gymnastics lessons, horseback-riding lessons, ice-skating lessons, etc… anything that caught his interest, he took until he grew tired of it. His love for gymnastics never diminished, though, and when he was nine he broke his arm for the second time… once again at the elbow. A quick doctor visit to have it reset and six weeks in a, this time, hot pink and black cast and he was back out there, just as fine as he could be.
As it always is, though, some people just don’t take to those who are different, and Tori was no exception to the rule. School was rough for a few years, with him often coming in upset and sometimes even in tears due to the things the students and even some teachers said to him. So what if he fell in love with makeup, nail-polish, and other ‘girly’ things… he didn’t see himself as different from the other students, he just had different likes and dislikes… So what if he was too emotional for a guy, who cared if he looked so much like a girl that he was mistaken as one by almost everyone… He was still just Tori. Just Tori… and no-one aside from a certain select few chose to look past the outside to see what was on the inside. He had to learn to toughen up, and it took years but eventually Tori figured out how to not let the things people said bother him… at least, not on the outside where everyone could see. Names can’t break bones, but they can and do hurt sometimes just as badly…
At eleven Tori was competing in a youth ice-skating competition when he landed a jump wrong and fell. When he didn’t immediately get up, his coach knew something had happened, as Tori had always been the type to jump right back up and keep going. Torsten was rushed to the hospital after his coach skated out to see what was wrong. When he woke up several hours later, in a hospital bed with his mother and step-father peering down at him, he immediately wanted to go back to the competition. A concussion caused him to not even realize his ankle was in a cast for several hours and the back of his head had required stitches. Tori was kept in the hospital at his step-fathers’ insistence for a week before being allowed to come home. Upon coming home, he was mothered for an extra week by both mother and step-father, who began jokingly referring to Tori as his ‘daughter’ instead of ‘son’. Tori, surprisingly, didn’t mind.
He started high school at thirteen years of age, going into ninth grade as one of the youngest, though tallest students of his year. He was shaping up to be a fairly tall individual, though his step-father grew concerned that Tori’s weight wasn’t where it should be. A quick doctor visit revealed that the tall, skinny boy barely weighed a hundred pounds and he was put on a strict food regime. Within a month he was back at the doctor for a check-in, and where he should have gained an easy ten pounds or more, it was shocking to see that when Tori stepped up on the scales he had barely gained two pounds. A high metabolism, petite build, small bone structure and active lifestyle was what the doctor decided was keeping him from gaining weight, and as long as he felt good and healthy the man decided to leave it alone. Surely Tori would gain weight the older he got… which he did, though still not where he should be, considering his height.
Always staying in close contact with his biological father, Tori agreed to spend the summer of his thirteenth year with the man who by this time had remarried himself and had a young daughter. It was excited, though highly nervous Tori who boarded the airplane and it was an extremely freaked out Tori who got off the plane in Germany. The first few weeks with his father and his father’s new family was exciting and fun. Tori fell in love with his little half-sister and spent most of his time with the girl, much to his father’s amusement. It was only as he was leaving Germany that the young boy decided to tell his father of his sexual status; a status Tori had been aware of for a while now. His decision to inform his father turned out to be life-changing. Tori asked to speak to the man just moments before the plane he was due to get on loaded, and it was in a quiet corner that he revealed his sexual orientation. His father didn’t take it too well. A security guard was called to remove the angry man from the premises and escort the almost catatonic Tori onto his plane. Tori arrived home with more than a little fear of his father, though it faded in time, and several bruises on his person. When a concerned step-father asked where he’d gotten the marks, Tori broke down right then and there, clutching the man like a life-line and sinking to the floor, unable to control his tears. He didn’t understand for a long time how and why his step-father could be so supportive, yet his biological father could be so… unsupportive. Especially after never not having the support of both fathers and his mother.
It was over a year before Carsten called to apologize to his only son, and it was an emotional apology on both father and sons’ parts. Carsten, in an attempt to make up for blowing up like he had, bought Tori his first horse, as he knew the boy had taken riding lessons off and on since he was five. The Bavarian Warmblood gelding was imported from Germany to the United States and was a true delight to Tori, who loved riding as much as he loved gymnastics. Though their relationship has been strained and awkward ever since that fateful day, Tori and his biological father have been trying to get back to what they once had. Carsten, however, still feeling horrible about his treatment towards his son those years ago, contacted Julia about paying for Tori to attend an academy he’d found in Kentucky. Julia agreed to talk to their son about it, and after several long conversations with Pete, together they approached Tori with the offer, which was immediately accepted by the excited boy.
They agreed to send him that next year, sometime after his birthday, as Julia felt the boy should have his license before going away from home so far, so that he could drive where he wanted instead of being stuck taking a bus everywhere. Tori received his license the day he turned sixteen and after a long, serious conversation about safety with his step-father, he was allowed to have the freedom of his own vehicle. Perhaps, though, getting his own car so soon wasn’t the best idea, as before his first week was out he’d gained two tickets for speeding, which his parents paid after taking his car away for a week. Even after that, though, Tori got another ticket after getting his car back. He just didn’t pay much attention to the speedometer, thus causing cops to keep a close eye on him.
Finally, though, it was time to leave for Blue Ridge, and Tori, both excited about the prospect of attending a new school and upset over leaving his parents, headed off, riding in the truck with his step-father, hauling his Bavarian Warmblood gelding, with his mother behind them, driving his car…
We found love in a hopeless place
