The Personality
Personality:
Coal is a very nice tempered mare, doesn't get attached to people/other horses easily, even though she does have a way with the lads. She is a nice and understanding friend to Leanne, she enjoys treats and company. She has never had a real life until she was three years of age so she has a lot to learn, she is eager to learn. She enjoys hacks and just in general a calm round over a few jumps/hurdles.
She can be rebellious and a bit of child sometimes when she doesn't get her way, but that's all part of growing up and teaching. She also has a way to tell if your paying attention to her movements, if your not concentrating on her hard enough she will do something wrong or change her leg to get you focused on her again. Apart from that she is heaven to ride and be friends with.
Caution Around: Cars/Motor-Bikes/Enclosed Spaces (except her stall) and dogs.
The History
Basic History:
Leanne brought Colato out of her own money, she got her from a run-down little yard at the edge of the state. When she brought Coal she was also run-down/half dead, Leanne fed her up and watered her up for three years to get her too where she is today. Leanne also started to train Coal herself, backing her and training her for flat work then once she was capable starting off slowly with jumping her.
Colato was amazing at jumping so Leanne new she would go far with this Welsh Pony, she also has a nice color and a nice stand about her. She was said to have been bred from a famous couple but Leanne won't believe that, if Coal was she wouldn't have been in a run-down yard. Ever since Leanne had started training her she has become more of a good and intelligent listener, Leanne uses words not nudges to edge her on into her work.
