So uh, I need some helpsies with my characters. Here they be, in all their finery.
Gretchen Holmes
Bio: Gretchen grew up comfortably in upstate NY with her parents, and her younger brother Alexander. She is incredibly bright, more intelligent than most of the children in the little farm town she grew up in. She is also very cultured, her parents often brought her to museums and to the ballet in NYC. Because of this she is a trained musician and dancer, and thoroughly enjoys the finer things in life. However, her heart has always been set on horses, Bahir being her pride and joy. She left her previous school to pursue a career as a rider. Gretchen is also a bit of an eccentric geek, with her interests scatter around. She loves the Avengers and marvel comics, especially Thor and Loki. She also loves Sherlock Holmes, both the books and the BBC show, and she is an expert on all things Titanic.
Friends: Gretchen struggles to make friends due to her quiet and shy nature. However she is very lonely and longs for someone to talk to. Once she gets to know a person and feels comfortable around them, she is incredibly funny, excitable, and open. She is very generous to her friends, willing to give them anything. She wants them to remain happy, and in turn remain her friends. This may be her downfall.
Enemies: If it is difficult for Gretchen to make friends, it is almost impossible for her to make enemies. She is too shy to instigate fights or arguments with people, and she doesn't hold grudges. When dealing with strangers she is generally polite and charming, and is willing to listen to anybody and halfheatedly agree with whatever they're saying. This method, she finds, is the best way to not make enemies or create drama, which is just how she likes it.
Lovers: Gretchen longs for a relationship, but she wants just the right kind of guy and is willing to wait for him. She wants a steady relationship, with someone she can trust. She also wants someone who she can have conversations with, and someone who is generally kind and always gentle with her. Most guys seem only interested in the physical aspects of the relationship, and while she doesn't mind a little intimacy, she doesn't want that to be the base of her relationship.

Mycroft Hollins
Bio: Mycroft was born and raised in England. He has both of his parents, though he rarely sees or speaks to them, and a brother who is seven years younger than him named William. He remains in contact William, though loosely since moving to America to start over. He adores and worries about his brother, though he would never admit that. Mycroft previously worked for the MI6, as a field agent when he was young and later in a position he has never specified. He was never in charge of the organization, however he had incredible influence over nearly everything and earned himself the nickname "The British government". He often met with representatives, ambassadors, and even leaders of other countries, where he comfortably and easily made small talk as well as discuss terror threats and other important events. Mycroft was always highly intelligent, even as a child, and a master of reading other people and getting the information he wants out of them. His entire world changed when an attempt was made on his life. He realized that his life was half over and he hadn't done anything for himself. So he retired from his government work, packed up, and moved to America to start a new life as a teacher. He would also like to begin working with horses again, however at the moment he is rather wary of them.
Friends: Mycroft has acquaintances, but not really anyone he could call a "friend". In his line of work, having friends was something he thought of as being a dangerous disadvantage. As a child, he was often bullied and teased by his peers, since he was much smarter than them. His only friend then was his horse, Starlight Express, who died very suddenly from colic. Since then he has grown outwardly cold and indifferent towards people, and he doesn't think regular people are capable of maintaining a worthwhile conversation with him. He secretly does care greatly about the well being of others though, helping them out in secret when the opportunity arises. The closest thing to a friend he currently has is his brother William. Mycroft denies that he is lonely, but deep down he is very, very lonely.
Enemies: Mycroft has made many enemies in his past, most of them incredibly dangerous. Mycroft does not pay them any mind though, and with his new life he believes they will give up on him. After all, as the saying goes, "there are bigger fish to fry". As long as you are not a terrorist threatening Britain or the free world, you won't easily become enemies with Mycroft. He is after all, an English gentleman, and he acts like one.

Lovers: Mycroft is gay, and has no problem admitting it. However, he does not like openly discussing his sexuality. Secretly, he wants to find a partner, and adopt a small child or two. He knows that is out of the question in his current situation, and accepts it. He doesn't expect to find a love interest anyway.
