Personality>> If nothing else can be said about Stelmaria, is that she's a mare, so her mood changes from day to day.
Aside from her mood swings, Stelmaria is a rather laidback horse, at least when she's on the ground, and will happily allow anyone to handle her. When being ridden though, she needs a confident rider on her back, as she loves to go fast.
Caution Around>> Anything small on the ground, one never knows if it might be a mouse!!
Basic History>> Right from the get-go, Stelmaria was designed for the show ring. Her parents were known for their showing abilities and the mare's foals all turned out well as at least dressage prospects.
Once she was started under saddle, Stelmaria's favourite speed was fast, and she loved jumping so this is the direction her owners took her in.
With a few shows under her belt, the mare was sold to a riding school, where she continued to attend competitions with her riders. It was at one of theses that the mare's career came to a sudden halt.
Going too fast around a wet cross country course, the girl riding the mare didn't have enough time to slow her down as they approached a ditch, and with too much momentum on the landing, she lost her feet and they collided with the next jump.
The accident wasn't life-threatening, but the mare was now unsound and no longer confident to run full speed toward a stationary object, so the Simones decided to retire the mare from competitions.
Since she was still fine for light riding, Andie saw the mare as a great horse to return to the Academy with.
