Personality>> Marie has always been known to be calm, many people recall her as that incredibly sweet girl with the nice manners. She's surely left some more lasting impressions, but in general she is remembered as the nice girl. Marie is kind, and very polite, as she was raised to be, but she is by no means a pushover. She's not going to sniffle or slink away if someone's rude to her. She is known to get a bit of an attitude and fight back and defend herself or teach the people a lesson. Give them a taste of their own medicine. If anything, her kindness is a facade, because in actuality, Marie can be quite the spitfire. She's very welcoming, but can come off as a bit hesitant at first when meeting new people. The moment she associates a person with being good though, she warms right up and the better she gets to know them the more she opens up and begins revealing more of her inner crazy. She's not overly ecstatic or wild, or obnoxious in any way. She just likes to occasionally have some fun, though she can get a bit reckless at times when it comes to certain things, so she either needs to be reminded to focus, or have someone around her who has a good head on their shoulders. This isn't all the time, but can occur every now and then.
Intellectually she is a bit challenged. Marie is by no means a bad student, sometimes she has a hard time understanding certain material. She's never let it get her down, what she lacks in comprehension, she makes up for wholeheartedly in effort. She will throw everything she has into the subject and do anything extra she needs to help her understand it better and get a good mark on whatever it is that has gotten her stuck, as she isn't one to let a bad grade go through easily. Marie tends to be more laid back in the case of projects and work, but she by no means allows flaws, major or little. She doesn't constantly stress out though.
Marie is a fun person to be around, she loves to laugh, and make other people laugh. In general, she just loves to enjoy herself and have fun. She's a humorous person, and tends to play with sarcasm a lot. She can come off as a bit of a goof ball at times, but will sober up if anything happens. Marie has a bit of, what her family likes to jokingly call, Mama Bear syndrome. Whether it's her horse, or her newest friend, she can become defensive and a bit over protective. She makes sure not to be overbearing to her buddies, but if they got hurt she would most likely get very worried. When it comes to her horses though, oh, no way. Either one of her horses takes a fall in the paddock, or someone bad mouths them a bit, it is most certain that Marie will get very overprotective and stick up for them. She may even growl. Who knows. Long story short. Don't mess with the people she loves, or her animals, because she's loyal to the end and will do anything for her friends.

Marie isn't tough to look at. She remains well kept, though she can have her sloppy days. She has lighter blond hair that's darker at the roots and gets a darker honey color underneath. It falls to mid back, so it's somewhat long. Her skin tone is somewhat fair, but still holds a fan factor from all the days working outdoors. She has pretty features, consisting of a straight nose and pink lips that, when arranged in a smile, reveal white teeth. Her eyebrows aren't monsters, but they're not too thin, just right for her features. Her eyes are interesting though. One eye is a light green, while the other eye is affected by partial heterochromia. It's the same green as the other eye, but there's a section of a somewhat deep blue that starts from the bottom before going diagonally up, filling the lower half of the iris before touching the pupil and meeting the opposite wall of the iris and fading off. She tends to feel insecure about her eyes, mainly the different one, but that's the only abnormal feature she has, in her opinion. Marie is somewhat tall at 5'8 and has for the most part stopped growing. She has nice curves, but not over exaggerated. She's somewhat lean, and looks a bit delicate but is anything but, having dealt with rough work and dealing with thousands pound animals daily doesn't really prove for weakness in her family. Doing daily chores and working have built up some lean muscles that help her in whatever she needs to do.

Full History>>
Marie grew up in a southern family. They weren't hard core country, but she grew up in a rodeo family basically. Her father had a large ranch, and participated in several of the major rodeos in Utah and nationwide, as well as his livestock. Marie grew up as a daddy's girl, not in the spoiled sense but more of the spending all her time with him. It wasn't uncommon to see a five year old Marie skipping after her daddy early in the morning in her boots to go help him with the horses or cows. She grew up in a saddle, and by the time she was ten she was running 2D to 3D runs in barrel racing, and was involved in rodeo royalty. She immensely enjoyed it, but in actuality she loved doing anything that dealt with horses. Then something caught her attention. She had been searching through the internet, and saw a video about the Rolex. Marie was somewhat mesmerized by the competition and riding, especially leaning towards cross country and show jumping. She decided she wanted to learn eventing. The only thing was she loved western riding as well. Marie thought for awhile before figuring she could do both.
Marie then approached her dad. As expected, a hard working, southern raised cowboy didn't really want his daughter to learn another discipline. Though, with some pleading, promises to continue western, and puppy eyes, he caved and she began taking lessons. When it comes to horses, Marie is a quick learner, she can't really say the same for academics, but she quickly picked up English riding and eventing. She only progressed more and more, in both western and English, but was thrown out of season for a short while when she turned fourteen and had an accident. During one of her rodeos she was representing her county as a teen queen, she had to ride a different horse than normal as hers was out with an abscess. She was running a flag and the horse spooked and she was tossed, but her foot was stuck in the stirrup and Marie was dragged and much more, resulting in a few broken ribs as well as a dislocated ankle and concussion. Marie was picked up by her father, who was the arena boss of the rodeo and put back on the horse for a moment, as insane as it sounds. Her father was a tough man, and felt that if Marie didn't get back on right away, that she would be scared to ride for a long time. So he set her on her horse, told her to be tough and made her take the horse back to the alley. Once back at the alley, she was immediately taken to be cared for. It was safe to say Mama Simmons was very angry, and that's when the fights began occurring. The woman didn't like that her husband was so tough on their kids, and everyone. While preoccupied by these fights, they didn't see that Mrs. Simmons was becoming paler, and seemed weaker, and the worse she got the less of a chance there was. Eventually, they noticed and she went to the doctor where she was diagnosed with cancer. Acute Myelogenous Leukemka to be exact.
The cancer was already fatal, and it seemed there was nothing they could really do. They tried treating her, but it wasn't working, and not long after she was diagnosed, she passed away. It destroyed their family. Her older brother never came home to visit, her two younger brothers cried and cried and couldn't seem to cheer up. Her father was the worst though. Before he would crack a smile and laugh and joke around, but now he seemed just dead. Mindlessly doing his work and sitting there quietly at the table, not speaking or making any real contact with his children. Eventually, Marie felt like she was going crazy, she was stuck in an endless circle of regret and she could feel herself succumbing to the depression that looked over their family. One day, she came across an add for a riding academy, and felt it was like a new start. She felt guilty and horrible and selfish, but she needed some time away. So she talked to her father. He blew up, exploded and screamed at her. In the end he let her go, but didn't even wish her good bye as she left, heading away to Kentucky with one of her horses, and unattended problems.
